Let's get straight to the point. This Remielle cosplay outfit is extremely eye-catching in terms of details and material contrast. The outer layer of black sheer gauze is spliced with high-gloss patent leather fabric, offering both a soft, lightweight feel and retaining a sharp gothic sense. For studio shooting of this outfit, light and shadow require the utmost attention because the reflections of the patent leather can easily swallow the layers of the clothing itself. During lighting setup, I deliberately made the main light lean slightly to the side to highlight the textures of the zippers, pentagram patterns, and various metal ring buckles on the outfit. This corset design has relatively high demands on body shape, but wearing it truly defines the waistline nicely, which, paired with the slightly puffy skirt hem, flatters the proportions wonderfully.
The pink short hair is also one of the character's soul elements. The wig was trimmed into a slightly layered bob haircut. To maintain the fullness of the hairstyle, I built a solid foundation underneath, paired with star hair clips and black horns. Since the visual focal points were already quite numerous, I chose a slightly translucent base makeup, focusing heavily on the eye makeup. Using purple contact lenses with red eyeliner, along with a relatively sharp eye shape delineation, I hoped to restore that mysterious yet somewhat aloof gaze. The fingernails were also specially painted with a red-and-black color-matched nail polish, tying into the overall color tone.
Since this styling features wings, wearing and fixing them was quite a challenge, and their weight really tested my posing abilities. Whether sitting on a European-style pillar or lying sideways on the ground, core strength was required to support the body, while constantly paying attention to ensuring the wing feathers didn't block the face or look messy due to compression. To showcase leg lines, I used sheer black stockings, paired with garter belts and metal leg rings decorated with stars. When sitting or leaning, slightly extending the legs and adjusting the camera angle helps better display the overall slender proportions, which is a very charming point of this styling.
The shooting environment utilized a large amount of blue and white sheer gauze, paired with white Roman columns and scattered white flowers, building a relatively dreamy yet somewhat sacred scene, which formed a strong visual contrast with my black clothing. Interestingly, post-processing added some giant capybaras to this photo set. The capybaras' dull and calm expressions formed an extreme gap moe with this slightly dark gothic-attributed outfit, even with two small oranges perched on their heads, adding a wacky and absurd fun to these relatively aloof photos. The entire shooting process was spent constantly adjusting poses and confirming lighting angles, hoping to bring out the original tension of the costume and character.
