Bringing this Zenless Zone Zero Sunna Angels of Delusion look to life was something I had planned for quite a while. Today, I finally had the chance to present the full concept inside a classroom setting. Prior to shooting, I was constantly fine-tuning the wig and accessories. The mint-green wig was the centerpiece of this styling; to preserve its airy volume, I carefully combed and restyled it before heading out. For the eye makeup, I wore green contact lenses paired with red-toned eyeshadow and lip colors, aiming to highlight the character's subtly tech-inspired and playful visual signature. A black leather choker was added around the neck to introduce subtle layering.
For wardrobe coordination, I paired a white graphic tank top with navy-blue athletic shorts trimmed with white piping. The graphic print on the tank combined with the small pink backpack behind me injected a vibrant, poppy contrast to the palette. On my legs, I wore White over-the-knee socks, which, paired with the athletic shorts, lent a school sports vibe. The little white wings prop on my back harmonized with the classroom atmosphere, creating a wondrous collision between reality and 2D fiction. Cradling this pair of black leather shoes in my hands was an intentional prop choice meant to convey everyday gap moe; as mentioned in the post description about a bento box, the prop does look a bit like a rectangular bento box, adding quite a fun, comedic touch when held.
During the shoot, compositions mainly framed between wooden school desks and chairs. Warm-toned lighting spilled across the wooden floorboards, lending a distinctly retro warmth. Sitting in the chair, I shifted my weight forward onto my knees while cradling the shoes forward with both hands. Holding this posture actually demanded noticeable core strength, especially while keeping my back straight; combined with crossing my legs, I fine-tuned leg angles multiple times to make the White over-the-knee socks and leg lines appear as sleek and elongated as possible on camera. Because the small wings were lightweight, they tended to sway with my movements, requiring constant attention so they wouldn't obscure my shoulders or drift out of frame.
The chair heights and desk spacing posed slight challenges for framing. The photographer aimed to capture the classroom's receding depth while keeping my subtle gestures crisply detailed. Thus, alongside wide-aperture background bokeh, focus was locked sharply onto my facial features and the handheld props. Because I was holding the shoes, hand positioning couldn't look rigid; conveying an effortless, casual grip was a subtle test of body language. To complement the outfit, I wore pink wristbands, deliberately keeping my poses relaxed so it looked just like hanging out during a school class break.
Shooting this Angels of Delusion look took substantial dedication from costume curation to set dressing. Since Zenless Zone Zero features a distinctly stylized aesthetic, faithfully capturing character nuances required adding rich details. For example, the blue geometric hair clips and pink heart-shaped barrettes on my head—these delicate hair ornaments easily reflect glare or tilt out of place during actual shooting, demanding painstaking adjustments. Looking at the finished set, I'm genuinely happy with the visual outcome of this cosplay; the classroom environment merged with this wardrobe preserved the character's canon motifs while feeling grounded and natural.
