[Vivian Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: Combining Elegance and Mystery

When I first started planning this Zenless Zone Zero Vivian cosplay project, the first word that came to mind was elegance. To complement this temperament, careful considerations were made regarding outfit and makeup choices. The top features a white backless design with ruffled trim; the open back paired with a black multi-buckled leather corset emphasizes the waistline without making the upper body look heavy. The skirt utilizes unconventional tailoring, interleaving black leather material with dark blue fabric, plus irregular edge lines that present great depth whether still or in motion. For tights, I chose sheer black stockings, paired with blue-and-black platform high-heeled lace-up shoes, which elongated leg proportions while adding a touch of commanding aura to the character's elegance.

For the wig, I selected light violet long curly hair (Purple hair cosplay) with a large dark blue bow on top and white highlights near the forehead. Combined with red contact lenses and iconic pointed elf ears (Elf cosplay), visual attention lands instantly on the character's face. Those red eyes have a reflective glint under specific lighting, and during shooting, I asked the photographer to catch that exact moment—the focused gaze truly infuses soul into the photoshoot. As for props, holding a long umbrella with metallic textures gave proper support whether in a looking-back standing pose or a seated pose, making hand placement feel much more natural.

We chose an indoor location featuring dark blue velvet drapes for this scene, complete with gold tassels and delicate gold embroidery above the curtains, which paired with a European golden-trimmed armchair created a retro, aristocratic atmosphere. This color scheme blended seamlessly with the character's blue-white-black outfit and light purple hair, preventing visual clutter. Photo 1 is a full-shot looking-back standing pose, displaying all full-body clothing details; Photo 2 is a half-body close-up highlighting the ears and backless design; Photo 3 shows a seated posture on the golden-trimmed chair, with the chair angle specially adjusted alongside crossed legs to present the character's elegant poise in a more relaxed, expansive manner.

Because the corset belt and skirt of this outfit carry a degree of stiffness and thickness, maintaining standing or sitting postures placed higher demands on body balance. Coordinating with the photographer during the shoot, we tried several different pose angles before selecting these three for the final set (Cosplay photoshoot). Overall, I'm quite satisfied with capturing the character's mysterious, elegant essence in its entirety. The makeup avoided overly heavy styling, focusing instead on the contrast between red eyes and skin tone to faithfully reproduce her serene, composed presence. Without overly complex lighting setups, the shoot relied entirely on live set arrangement and the inherent textures of the outfit itself.
