Today in the studio, I brought Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero to life. The layers in this outfit are remarkably complex, demanding true patience to assemble. The base layer is a high-collared white shirt fastened at the throat with star-shaped metallic collar studs, layered beneath a sheer black long-sleeve blouse. Over this sits a corset-style underbust vest accented with silver buckles and slender straps, complemented along the arms by strappy bindings and gloves. The bottom is an asymmetrical black miniskirt flanked by colossal black wing props at the hip. With razor-sharp wing contours, crimson accents, and distressed black fabric tatters along the hem, the overarching visual depth is extraordinarily rich.
For hair and makeup, I styled a short pink wig clipped at the sides with red-and-black bowknots, affixed pointed elf ears, and wore magenta-violet contact lenses. The makeup prioritized soft color blending around the eyes, backed by a dewy, translucent base to elevate the character's aura. Because the studio backdrop used high-contrast monochrome flats, the lighting setup relied on punchy rim backlighting and overhead downlights. Under such schemes, subject contours are etched crisply, but facial fill light demands surgical precision. Positioning took considerable time as I coordinated with the gaffer to find the ideal angles and sculpt three-dimensional facial depth.
In the first standing pose, clasping my hands in front of my torso, the focus was keeping the neck and shoulders relaxed while maintaining an erect spine so the sheer top and shoulder lines flowed naturally. The second shot was a dynamic action capture: lifting one leg while extending a hand forward. While it looks effortless, it tested core stability to the limit. Balancing on one foot in stilettos required firm leg tension to sustain equilibrium while compensating for the wing prop's shifted center of gravity to avoid awkward wardrobe slips. The pairing of black stockings with garter straps elongated leg lines gorgeously during limb extensions; however, wide movements required vigilance over stocking elasticity and thigh band placement to prevent sliding. With the fitted tailoring of this miniskirt, monitoring hem drape was essential throughout the session.
Remielle's character carries a subtle cunning—echoing her iconic line, 'We are accomplices, you know.' During the shoot, I deliberately refined my expressions: keeping an imposing weight in my gaze without letting the corners of my mouth curve too overtly, striving to project that intersection of scrutiny and playful malice. In posing, I kept body extensions fluid, using bodily contours to harmonize with the lens perspective. During tight close-ups, I slowed my breathing and locked my visual focus.
In preparation for this look, I performed intensive skincare the night before to guarantee seamless makeup adhesion. Because the wig base and wing attachments were relatively heavy, I avoided wide movements during breaks to protect the hairstyle and prevent rubbing makeup off my neck and shoulders. The entire shoot progressed smoothly; reviewing selections later, the chiaroscuro matched our envisioned benchmarks, cleanly preserving the metallic sheens and sheer fabric weaves. This photoset faithfully retains the garment's intricate design nuances, and I hope these photos showcase the genuine dedication poured into this concept.
