[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Pink Elf: Dark Wings and Stockings Styling

For this shoot of Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero, the overall concept leaned into an eclectic fusion of dark gothic and fantasy. The pink short hair with blunt bangs paired with pointed elf ears created a striking visual contrast. Head accents of black bowknots and star-shaped barrettes enriched textural detail, working alongside reddish-toned eyeshadow and lip tint to channel her signature sweet-yet-cool persona.

The core outfit consists of a form-fitting minidress splicing dark navy and black. The navy fabric has a sleek reflective sheen printed with white star insignias. To add depth, a sheer black mesh long-sleeve layer was added on top, where ruffled cuffs softened the arm silhouette. The chest is adorned with zippers and metal rings, matched with a choker and silver pendant around the neck, while crimson ribbons served as vibrant color pops breaking up the moody dark palette. The black feathered wing props worn on the back were actually quite hefty, requiring tightly strapped shoulder harnesses, yet the delicate plumage texture paid huge dividends before the lens.

Lower-body styling is one of my personal favorites. Sheer black stockings (Stockings) feature distinct back seams, paired with black thigh straps accented with bowknots and metallic star charms. On the feet were glossy black platform stilettos, with heel bows echoing the overarching gothic motifs. This ensemble naturally flatters leg lines, so I explored diverse postures to accentuate this silhouette. In standing shots, touching a finger lightly against the lips or resting a hand along the temple flattered bodily curves while infusing compositional tension. For the kneeling pose, I slipped off one shoe to step barefoot against the studio floor, striving to evoke an effortless edge that breaks away from rigid postures.

The set was staged in an indoor studio, placing classical white architectural sculptures—including broken Roman pillars and plaster pedestals—before neutral gray backdrop flats. Behind the model stood another colossal white feathered wing prop. Dark wardrobe elements clashing against white plaster created bold chiaroscuro contrast; under key lighting, the black wings and white plaster wings formed a compelling visual dialogue. Blending faux leather, sheer mesh, and stockings meant diverse textiles caught strobe light with varying specular properties, demanding meticulous light placement. To sculpt the luster of the navy leather skirt, the key light was positioned slightly off-axis while preserving shadow nuances. The session demanded iterative postural resets, pausing to rest ankles from high heels and taking care not to bump the wing props against backdrop flats.

Sharing this set for the 'Doujin Creation Festival,' I hope to deliver a fresh visual experience to fellow fans of the character. When shooting dark gothic aesthetics, leveraging negative space in backdrops alongside vivid wardrobe accents can effectively establish commanding visual focal points.
