【Velina cosplay】Zenless Zone Zero: Foreign Policy Bureau Tea Party, Attending an Elegant Rendezvous - Image 1

Bringing this Velina Foreign Policy Bureau Tea Party styling to life took about two weeks from start to finish. Because I wanted to recreate that coexistence of elegance and structured order in Zenless Zone Zero, I did plenty of homework regarding garment materials and prop selection. The deep blue long-sleeve bodysuit was crafted from velvet-textured fabric, producing natural variations in light and shadow under studio lighting. The chest cutout design and the inner black strapping are standout features, yet they also demand an exceptionally precise fit to the figure; I had two fitting sessions before finalizing the pattern.

Trimming and styling the wig was a major challenge for this shoot. The silvery-white long straight hair had to maintain natural volume while securely holding the wide white headband at the crown and the oversized bow at the back. To avoid a stiff, artificial look, I used a curling iron to add a subtle curve, paired with ample styling products so the hair fell with dimensional grace when glancing back over my shoulder. Positioning the elf ears required meticulous adjustments; for the crescent pendant on the left ear, I used a dab of clear adhesive to fix it to the auricle, ensuring it wouldn't sway during motion.

As for makeup, the eye makeup was the focal point. The violet eyes were realized by layering colored contact lenses with pinkish-purple eyeshadow, adding subtle depth along the lower eyelids to give the gaze a calmer, more profound intensity. The eyebrows were intentionally drawn softer to avoid looking overly sharp. The entire base makeup was kept matte, which worked with the warm lighting of the set to enhance facial dimension.

Coordinating the props and set also took considerable thought. Blue-and-white porcelain teacups and saucers, paired with classic white pillar candelabras and orange roses, were arranged to evoke a vintage, ceremonial tea party ambiance. The backdrop was chosen in blue-purple, accented with hanging white and pink floral vines to enrich visual depth. During the shoot, I shifted my weight onto one leg, turned slightly sideways, and naturally lowered my shoulders so the posture of holding the teacup appeared effortless rather than stiff.

To resonate with the sentiment described—that even if unexpected twists arise, a promised rendezvous is never missed—I maintained a serene, composed demeanor during shooting, letting my gaze settle calmly on a focal point beyond the frame rather than catering overtly to the lens. The lower half paired black shorts with white lace Stockings; the lace trim subtly peeked through as I moved, preserving the aloof elegance while adding delicate visual texture. The sequined decorative chains on the sleeves and the white tassels at the waist created lovely dynamic motion when turning, so I specifically incorporated several turning snapshot poses into the shoot.

Overall, from initial conception to the final photos, I participated in fine-tuning every single stage of this project. The Foreign Policy Bureau Tea Party theme provided vast creative space, where the sense of orderly decorum was mirrored in the placement of every element—from the precise angle of the teaware to the projection of lighting, all meticulously calibrated. This disciplined creative process is itself a pure joy in Cosplay photography. Looking ahead, I am also considering showcasing this Velina cosplay outfit in different outdoor settings, hoping to bring out even more distinct textures and moods.
