[Chinatsu Remiel cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Angels of Delusion, studio photoshoot daily of an energetic idol

For this photoshoot, I chose the character Chinatsu Remiel from Zenless Zone Zero, which corresponds to the Zenless Zone Zero Angels of Delusion theme mentioned in the post. The overall design style is very distinct, full of energetic idol vibes in this Idol cosplay. From the mint green color of the wig to the various black clips and accessories on top of the head, every single detail strives to restore the character's setting. The white shirt paired with a red polka-dot tie at the collar, matched with a black puffy miniskirt—this outfit blending academic style and stage aesthetics—combined with white Over-the-knee socks and pink leather-buckled thigh garters on the legs, truly makes body proportions appear much more elongated.

During the shoot, the large pink backpack and microphone held in hand served as the visual focal points of the entire styling, especially when executing jumps and standing poses; the backpack's color coordinated wonderfully with the overall visual effect. Working together with photographer Nekomiya in the studio, we experimented with numerous dynamic snapshots. For instance, holding the microphone pretending to sing on stage, or leaning half-bent toward the camera making a peace sign, the photographer's shutter timing was exceptionally precise, not only capturing the character's playfulness, but also preserving those natural interactive moments during cosplay.

Actually, for cosplay, simply wearing the right clothes is far from enough; what matters more is aligning with the character's personality. Chinatsu Remiel's setting in Zenless Zone Zero is an image packed with stage presence and vibrant energy, so throughout the shooting process, I maintained a highly engaged state. In particular, the leg straps and Over-the-knee socks had to fit snugly and securely because of the many large movements, preventing them from looking messy in the frame—painstaking care was taken in the costume materials and fastening.

The studio lighting for this session was set up very clearly and transparently. The white background, accompanied by pink stars and typography framing the image, created a dreamy, electro-pop anime atmosphere. This setting is also perfect for expressing idol themes without detracting from the subject. The characters in Zenless Zone Zero inherently possess high recognizability, and this design for Chinatsu Remiel combines techwear elements with everyday wear, making it a very fun experiment.

During the shoot, Nekomiya-sensei provided lots of guidance when capturing motion—such as standing posture while holding the microphone, arm-waving angles, and center-of-gravity control during jumps—all of which determined the visual tension of the final photos. From hair and makeup to costume details and facial expression management, we invested significant effort into coordination. When reviewing the playback on the camera, I truly felt a seamless fusion with the character. Overall, this styling not only retained the character's cute elements, but also delivered strong visual impact in the finished photos. The shoot went very smoothly, and once again, huge thanks to the photography team for their hard work.
