The moment the Ambience Synesthesia PV dropped and I saw the visuals for the "We Witnessed" skin, I knew I had to attend the concert venue in this exact look. I immediately contacted a familiar wig stylist to ask if she could squeeze me in for this long pink wig. She was under immense pressure and bluntly said the workload was too heavy, but after some persistent pleading and offering an extra rush fee, she finally agreed. Replicating the wig's exact hair color was a major hurdle—the glossy, subtly gradient pink from the original art, along with having to fit securely around the halo, demanded exceptionally high styling and crafting standards.
Alongside the wig, prototyping for the costume was progressing simultaneously. The design of the "We Witnessed" skin carries a sacred, solemn aura while incorporating plenty of techwear elements. The black matte leather jacket features a very intricate construction, decorated with extensive white stitching and metallic studs on the outside, paired with a white lining placket spliced with crisscross pink straps. This required balancing realistic texture with wearability, ensuring the thick leather wouldn't make movements overly stiff. The tailor repeatedly adjusted the pattern against the original artwork, and we spent countless WeChat discussions fine-tuning the shoulder width, sleeve length, and neckline details.
What caused even more anxiety were the props. The sniper rifle design is both gorgeous and rugged; the prop maker had to not only ensure accurate silhouette reproduction but also keep the overall weight in check, given that it had to be carried into the concert venue. The halo and wing accessories were other critical hurdles to overcome. Since I was attending a live performance, I set high requirements for durability to avoid anything falling off or breaking when navigating crowded areas. After communicating a detailed timeline with the prop maker, they promised a pre-order timeline with shipment around July 25, which finally took a huge weight off my chest.
Although time was extremely tight and the rushing process was fraught with unexpected setbacks and tedious readjustments, everyone gave their best effort toward our shared goal. From confirming the order upon deposit, we officially entered the sample prep stage. This is just the first iteration, and there will likely be further fine-tuning in the custom crafting process, but seeing my dream cosplay gradually materialize before my eyes brings immense satisfaction.
Having decided to attend Ambience Synesthesia 2026, I naturally had to do everything possible to perfect the costume details. I have always believed that high-quality, faithful recreation at conventions or concerts is the utmost respect to both the character and the original work. This design involves numerous elements—from the light effects of the wings to the engraved lines on the firearm—requiring close collaboration between professional prop artisans and tailors. Although the final pieces are still in sample production, I am already looking forward to donning the full outfit and flawlessly bringing to life that sacred, sharp figure from the PV.
Once the outfit, wig, and props all arrive, I'll scout suitable studio locations with the photographer, striving for Cosplay photography that captures the ideal lighting and mood. Most importantly, though, will be wearing this creation to the concert venue in person to cheer on the character. I hope the final photos turn out stellar; this rush journey fighting for Ambience Synesthesia is immensely memorable, serving as a satisfying result for my friends and myself after all the hustle.
