[Amiya cosplay] Arknights JR Collaboration Little Detective Look: Vintage Fantasy of Rainy Night Roses

For this Amiya JR collaboration cosplay set, the primary goal was to bring out that cute yet sharp flair of a Little detective. The outfit is centered around a blue-and-white color palette accented with a black bow tie, creating a well-structured layered look.

Prior to the shoot, photographer Erin Linmeng and I discussed ideas extensively and decided on a courtyard with red roses and a carved white bench as our backdrop, allowing the signature blue theme to stand out prominently. The hair and makeup highlighted the vibrant blue contact lenses and wig texture; the twin tails were styled with specific angles, and the fluffy plush bunny ears were securely anchored so they wouldn't sag no matter how I moved.

The outfit details are well worth sharing. The lower half features a blue plaid pleated skirt paired with black leather suspenders, metal chains, and a golden disc ornament plus a pen tucked into the waistband pocket. Wearing black over-the-knee stockings and chunky black leather boots, the deep black of the black stockings against the blue skirt visually elongates the silhouette. The first full-body shot was intentionally taken from a low-angle wide perspective, which lengthened the leg lines and balanced petite cuteness with flattering proportions.

Regarding props, the clear umbrella was used to match the wet, glistening lighting after the rain, enhanced with water-splash effects for a moody garden-in-the-rain ambiance. The red roses and magnifying glass highlighted the detective theme; using the rose to partially veil my face in the close-up added a touch of intrigue, looking far more dynamic than a plain direct gaze. During the shoot, we adjusted angles repeatedly to prevent the clear umbrella surface from catching excessive harsh reflections. Huge thanks to Erin Linmeng for on-site direction, which sharply highlighted small details like the metallic glint on the belt buckle and the delicate openwork texture on the white cuffs.

Throughout the entire cosplay photography session, wearing garments with long capes and intricate straps meant staying mindful to prevent wardrobe malfunctions; maintaining a relaxed, natural pose actually demanded considerable muscle effort. Though tiring, the final results aligned faithfully with the design intent of this Arknights JR collaboration outfit. The overall fidelity turned out great, making it an enjoyable shooting experience.
