The concept for shooting this summer Rem swimsuit was actually settled early in the year. To present the effect that best matches a summer seaside atmosphere, a lot of thought went into everything from early costume selection to set construction.

First, let's talk about the costume details. The top features a blue and white sailor collar design, crafted from slightly sheer chiffon-like fabric that gives a refreshing, breathable feel under studio lights. The chest retains the character's iconic red-and-yellow patterned neckerchief, preserving part of her original recognizability even within a swimsuit setting. The lower half is a white pleated mini-skirt, finished with blue horizontal stripes and bow decorations along the hem, swaying with lively flair in motion. The over-the-knee white stockings were chosen in a light-compression fabric with blue stripes at the cuffs, paired with wine-red Mary Jane shoes, adding a warm accent to the predominantly blue-and-white palette.

Wig styling was also a major focus. With light blue as the base, the bangs were trimmed to hug the facial contours, accented with a pink bow hair accessory on the left side. For makeup, a translucent base was chosen, focusing on the eye makeup with red contact lenses to restore the character's signature look. High-placed blush combined with pink lip tint gave the overall complexion a fresh, vivid appearance.

Building the studio set was honestly the most physically exhausting part. We used a solid blue backdrop cloth to simulate the feel of the sky and sea, hanging many blue, white, silver, and yellow pennant banners and fish-shaped cutouts above to enhance the summer festival vibe. An artificial coconut tree with realistic bark texture was placed on the right. A white raised platform was laid out in the subject area, arranged with a wooden beach lounger and a wooden crate covered with a blue-and-white checkered tablecloth. On the crate sat a woven basket filled with red apples and tomatoes, beverage cans, and a wooden decorative plaque reading "Beach". Macaron-colored small balloons were scattered across the floor. During those days, props were moved back and forth repeatedly to adjust the coconut tree's placement and the angles of light refraction.

When shooting this set, cool-toned lighting was used to balance the scene's vivid colors. High-key photography softened the shadows so the main subject wouldn't get drowned in the blue background. The cover pose in Photo 2 was one I felt quite satisfied with. Standing sideways, hugging that large white, blue, and pink inflatable swim ring with both hands, my body tilted slightly. This posture actually required core engagement to stabilize the center of gravity while projecting a relaxed, languid demeanor. The profile angle perfectly showcased the layers of the pleated skirt and the leg lines wrapped in white Stockings, while light reflecting off the stockings added texture to the frame. Hugging the swim ring effectively utilized the prop without obscuring costume details. Compared to the standing pose with hands on hips in Photo 1, Photo 2's bodily curves and composition were much more focused and visually appealing.

What this entire photo set aims to convey is a refreshing, vibrant summer feel—preserving the character's core features while combining the swimsuit and scene to deliver the limited-time magic of the season.
