This Halloween-themed shoot features Rem's special outfit, blending witch and little devil elements while retaining the original character's traits. To match this styling, it was deliberately shot against a pure white studio background; this minimalist background best highlights the material details of the clothing itself. The pure white environment combined with multiple lights actually made my eyes sting slightly from the reflections during the shoot, but everything is worth it for the final photo effect.
The large area of black patent leather fabric on this costume is the visual focus. Once worn, the reflective effect is very obvious, but it is indeed very stuffy and hot, so I had to quickly air out during shooting breaks. The material itself carries a strong sense of constraint, which, combined with the waist-cinching tailoring, wonderfully outlines the body curves. The white ruffles and black bow at the neckline add a touch of docility, neutralizing the toughness of the patent leather. The small black wings on the back are fixed to the back and sway along when walking; care needs to be taken during photoshoots so they don't flip over.
The headpiece is a huge black-and-red two-toned witch hat with a very wide brim. Actually, wearing it for a long time puts pressure on the neck, especially the posture of holding the brim with one hand, which requires maintaining the hand action continuously. The reflection of the hat also requires the photographer to find a good angle to avoid capturing cluttered light spots. The yellow bow brightens the overall tone on the black hat.
The wig chose a light blue style with blunt bangs, trimmed very neatly, and needs careful combing to avoid tangles. To match this gothic-leaning style, bright blue contact lenses were worn. In terms of makeup, blush and innocent-looking eye makeup were intensified, and the eyeshadow smudging was also on the softer side; I hope everyone can feel this slightly cold sense of contrast.
The lower body matching actually has a little clever touch: the left leg features black glossy over-the-knee high-heeled long boots with very high heels, which make calves sore after standing for a long time. The right leg is left blank, tied with a black leg ring; this asymmetric design visually elongates the leg lines while adding a bit of sexiness. For the shot of side-lying on the cylindrical prop table, to showcase the extension of the legs, the core needed to be kept tightened the whole time. Because it's hard to find a support point wearing high heels while maintaining the hand posture of holding the prop without distortion, the effort exerted by the waist isn't visible at all in the final photos, but it definitely took some physical effort at the time.
The red trident held in picture four matches the overall styling, maximizing the devil vibe instantly. The hands wear over-the-elbow black long gloves made of the same material as the clothing, providing strong friction when holding props. Throughout the shooting process cooperating with the photographer here in Dongguan, communication was extremely smooth. How to use reflectors to highlight the glossiness of the patent leather went through repeated adjustments. The lighting under the pure white background hit the patent leather evenly, and the texture turned out even better than expected. This Halloween styling combines playfulness with a hint of coolness, and the treatment of details like the wrinkles of the gloves and the reflection of the long boots are handled very naturally.
