[Rem cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Flight attendant uniform cosplay at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo

At the recent Firefly ACG Expo in Guangzhou, I appeared in the exhibition hall with Rem's flight attendant uniform cosplay styling. Instead of choosing her iconic maid outfit this time, I picked a short crop-top uniform featuring alternating dark blue and white colors, hoping to showcase a more diverse side of the character through the atmosphere of the Guangzhou Anime Convention parade season.

First, let's talk about the details of this costume. The upper body features a blue jacket with white piping, paired with a small brimmed hat in a matching color scheme, a white scarf at the neckline, and a small badge pinned to the chest. The lower wear is a high-waisted pleated miniskirt matched with a white belt, giving it a very nice overall silhouette. For the hair, I specially chose Rem's iconic light blue short hair, and the hairpins are also that pink cross-shaped design, fitting the character's original setting. Since the skirt is quite short, to elongate the visual proportions, I paired it with a pair of black glossy high heels. Putting the entire look on actually makes me feel quite energetic, though standing in high heels all day at the expo layout poses quite a test for the soles of my feet.

Several different shots were selected to record this experience. In the standing picture, I slightly lifted the skirt hem, because that posture not only makes the back look very straight but also reveals the hollow-out design at the waist of the outfit; the half-kneeling, fist-clenching posture was intended to express the character's lively and agile side, and shooting from that angle also makes one look quite exquisite; and finally, the one sitting on the floor is my personal favorite, which is also why I chose it as the cover image this time. It happened to be during a rest break in the convention aisle, where the light source was quite soft. The sitting posture beautifully displayed both the leg lines and the shoes, and my overall posture was relaxed and stretched. There were people passing by, but they happened to be blurred out by the large aperture, making the main subject of the frame stand out exceptionally.

The weather in Guangzhou over these few days was perfect for hosting an expo, and the atmosphere both inside and outside the Firefly ACG Expo venue was incredibly lively. Walking around the convention in this outfit, I ran into many sharp-eyed friends who proactively waved or directly asked if we could take a photo together. The charm of an anime convention probably lies right here: everyone gathers together because of the same hobby, and whether it's photography exchanges or recognizing each other's characters, you can always feel a bustling and warm atmosphere. Even if you're just standing in an open space of the venue to rest, someone will pat your shoulder and say they love this outfit.

Honestly, every time I do a Rem cosplay, there's a very special sense of familiarity, because that trait of hers—possessing both a sense of strength and a gentle, delicate nature—is something I highly admire. Although the uniform theme altered the original clothing style, once I put on this wig and added the hair accessories, I felt the character's charm was still fully there. This time, from styling preparation to on-site shooting, the entire process went very smoothly. The angles captured by the photographers were all fantastic, ensuring that the details of this outfit were not wasted. This trip to the Guangzhou Anime Convention left me with wonderful memories and has given me many new ideas for my next convention look.
