This shoot primarily pursued a bright, high-key translucent feel, with the overall color scheme set in a soft palette of lavender and light blue. The headwear featured a light purplish-blue wig paired with a pink ribbon and a pearl headband. The outfit was a light blue-purple multi-layered tulle tutu skirt; this material catches backlighting easily to add sheen and a lightweight feel. White plush cuffs were added to the wrists, accompanied by semi-transparent light purple Angel wings on the back. For props, we selected white withered branches against a backdrop of pure white sheer drapes, keeping the frame clean and pure.
The lights were placed fairly high, creating a High exposure look while retaining highlight details. Post-processing mainly involved boosting exposure, reducing contrast, and applying a soft-glow effect. During color grading, skin saturation was deliberately lowered so that the skin, dress, and wig harmonized within the same cool tone. The skin was edited to look translucent and fair while preserving the subtle shimmer of the pearl necklace. Because the shoot emphasized dynamic motion, continuous shooting mode was used.
We shot three main pose sets. The first was reaching out toward the camera, using wide-angle perspective to pull the foreground closer and create an engaging sense of presence for the viewer. The second was a kneeling posture with hands resting gently in front of the knees; placing the figure in the center showcased the bustline and White stockings garters, during which I adjusted the skirt folds to avoid wardrobe malfunctions. The third was crossing arms over the chest paired with blurred white branches in the foreground, creating a quieter ambiance. For makeup, blue contacts were specially chosen, with a hint of light red smudged at the outer corners of the eyes to highlight character traits.
Regarding the practicality of this gear: the plush cuffs were gentle on the wrists, but fixing the Angel wings required repeated angle adjustments to prevent mounting flaws from showing in the back. The skirt was quite voluminous, requiring careful angle awareness when sitting or reaching out so as not to obscure the visual focal point. The core focus of post-processing was actually noise reduction, as High exposure easily introduces color noise; maintaining cleanliness while preserving translucency took substantial effort.
