[Altria cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Cool-Toned Convention Photo Collection from the Summer Anime Expo

Here is a look at the Altria cosplay convention photos captured on June 22, 2024, at the Relang Anime Convention. Having a solid grasp of the character's essence, I referenced extensive official concept materials for the wardrobe, makeup, and props. The deep royal blue of the dress tended to look slightly washed out under the intense convention hall lighting, so I specifically added an inner lining to preserve the purity of the blue under bright spotlights. The white filigree along the collar was hand-stitched, giving it a pronounced three-dimensional look from afar. The wig was created by blending two separate wigs, styled piece-by-piece with hairspray to ensure a natural drape during turns and profile glances. The handling of the polearm prop directly affected the physical tension of the poses, so we wrapped black grip tape around the handle to prevent slippage from sweaty hands.

The venue was humid, hot, and packed with crowds. To avoid cluttered background passersby, photographer Tankao guided me through sweeping turns and shoulder-resting weapon poses. Pairing the deep blue dress with a black tights outfit effectively elongated the leg lines and accentuated the character's detached, aloof presence in composition. Real-world convention photos test on-the-spot staging skills. We scouted a location with strong overhead lighting contrast and erected a makeshift set using alternating red and white drapes. The venue lighting was quite chaotic, requiring constant posture adjustments to avoid harsh facial shadows. Under bright lights, the black stockings had a slight sheen; to avoid an overly glossy look, highlights were locally suppressed in post-processing. Color grading leaned toward cooler tones while darkening the surrounding edges to make the central figure pop. The waistline, collar tailoring, and trailing back ribbons demanded dynamic body control in motion. Repeating turns, shoulder poses, and grips multiple times finally yielded the most natural poise. This convention photo shoot provided invaluable experience in managing complex lighting and dynamic posing. Though exhausting, seeing the final photos made every bit of effort deeply rewarding.
