We settled on this shooting style right at the convention site, making maximum use of the venue's high ceilings as a backdrop to clearly present both character contour and costume details.

The wig is the first step of the entire look. The texture of the light blue long curly hair is crucial; the natural curve of the bangs must be carefully combed, and the ahoge on top is the very soul of the hair, requiring solid support while maintaining a curved dynamic. The red and black color scheme of the headpiece echoes the overall black, white, gold, and blue of the outfit. For makeup, amber contact lenses paired with dark eyeliner emphasize layered eyeshadow to match the texture of game concept art, while maintaining the skin's natural glow to prevent looking greasy under strong lights.

Regarding the costume, the top features a black-dominated sleeveless, off-the-shoulder design with a few red ties and gold trim. The side openings fit closely to the skin to avoid accidental exposure. The sleeves and armguards are especially worth mentioning: their holographic, iridescent metallic texture creates beautiful refractions under the venue lighting. For the lower half, it's paired with black tight leggings; the gold geometric line decorations are a design I really like, visually accentuating leg shapes and elongating proportions nicely. During Cosplay photography, the Black tights outfit itself is also a major highlight, which, combined with highlights, makes leg lines even smoother and prettier.

As for props, this white floral-patterned paper umbrella was practically a mood enhancer on site. Whether held in hand, half-covering the face, or placed sideways on the ground as a framing addition, it fits the character's classical elegance perfectly. The last two photos with special effects used glowing water spheres and fluttering icy-blue crystals to perfectly embody the character's ethereal adeptal aura. The moment of holding up the energy orb, its translucent crystal texture and flowing blue star dust looked exceptionally eye-catching against the dark background.

During the shoot, I specifically tried different camera angles and perspectives. Beyond close-up portraits, more energy went into full-body compositions and dynamic snapshots. Standing on one leg required intense core focus to stay steady while keeping the upper body upright and hand gestures natural. Using a wide-angle lens stretched the overall proportions, which, paired with the contrast of overhead lighting, made costume colors look more saturated and three-dimensional.

Since it was a live convention environment, the background was actually quite cluttered, so the photographer tried many ways to use depth of field and post-processing to highlight the subject. Although there are bound to be a few imperfections, the overall experience cosplaying Ganyu this time was great. Cosplay isn't just about putting on clothes; it's about deeply understanding the character's heart, combining details of costume, makeup, and props to restore that true spirit.
