Yesterday, on the first day of FGO Fes, I was so exhausted I collapsed. I hadn't originally planned to cosplay today, but thinking about how meaningful the 10th anniversary is, I grit my teeth and put on this Tohsaka Rin cosplay school uniform. Unexpectedly, while walking around the venue, a gentleman in a gray Buddhist robe suddenly came over and asked if we could take a photo together, which I gladly accepted. But when he stepped closer, he softly said, "I'm the voice actor for Kirei Kotomine," and my brain instantly exploded on the spotāI couldn't hear a single word after that.
Nakata-san's real voice sounds exactly like King Hassan, but his attitude is incredibly humble. He even praised me, saying, "You look great as Rin-chan." My entire body was shaking, and my hands were trembling so much I could barely hold my phone. He also asked if he could post our photo on his own SNS. At that moment, I completely stopped caring about the terrible overhead lighting or my face looking perfectly smooth.
This Fate/Grand Order 10th anniversary was truly incredible. Even though my legs went soft from standing in lines, the atmosphere inside the venue was fantastic. I watched the main stage and got a close-up look at Nobu, Rii, and Aoi-chan. The 10th-anniversary PV almost brought me to tears right then and thereāit didn't have that epic grandness of the 9th anniversary, but the feeling of a big Chaldea family reunion was somehow even more moving. There was even a merch trading zone at the Anime convention. I had a wonderful time trading with Japanese fans; nobody minded trading popular characters for niche ones.
Looking back, if I hadn't pushed myself to cosplay today, I would have completely missed out on this miraculous encounter. I've rediscovered the original joy of doing cosplay, and I'll definitely keep going in the future. Let me close with the official tagline: "Beyond this sky, look for a star." Happy 10th anniversary, and here's to the future of this TYPE-MOON world!
