Today's shoot features Suzuran's look from Arknights: a light blue high-waisted dress layered under a white knit cardigan, with the signature red necktie bow and blue beret hat prepped well in advance. Once I put on the golden-blonde long wig and bright green cosmetic contact lenses, the whole persona immediately clicked into place.

The trickiest part of this shoot was undoubtedly managing the cluster of massive, fluffy plush tails behind me. To make them look organically bushy and full, I picked high-grade faux fur fabrics and carefully figured out how to anchor them securely to my lower back. During the shoot, to prevent the tails from drooping too rigidly, I constantly readjusted my footing and center of gravity, terrified that a sudden movement might cause them to detach. The lace-trimmed woven wicker basket in my hands was also chosen to enrich the overall styling. Makeup placed heavy emphasis on blush and soft eye styling to channel Suzuran's signature sweetness, keeping the base foundation and contouring as sheer and translucent as possible.

Even though I'm very aware that my actual age leaves its traces, I still poured my heart into bringing this character to life. To look more natural in front of the camera, I spent hours practicing subtle expressions and gestures in front of the mirror at home. Today's outdoor set was a scenic street lined with European-inspired architecture, where the pale blue dress showed off gorgeous tactile texture under the diffused natural light. Carrying the basket down the street as a gentle breeze rustled through the wig and tails created quite a striking, picturesque atmosphere.

Immense credit goes to photographer @Jing丶 (whose shots are all wild freestyles)—he wasn't actually shooting blindly at all, but proved exceptionally gifted at freezing candid, unposed moments. Whether I was glancing back three-quarters or lightly reaching forward while holding the basket, he captured the shutter at the exact right second. The tails were genuinely heavy, making the session physically tiring midway through, but seeing the frames on the camera preview made every ounce of effort worthwhile.

The costume details held up beautifully under scrutiny: the soft fuzz of the knit cardigan, the white lace trim tracing the hemline, and the little brown crossbody satchel all harmonized seamlessly. Although I wore nude base leggings underneath, they blended smoothly with the original character design while ensuring total mobility and peace of mind when walking around.

To faithfully recreate Suzuran's official design, even the black emblem on the beret was meticulously centered. The wig was on the heavier side, but as long as it didn't trap too much sweat outdoors, it worked out fine. The overcast lighting was ideal for outdoor portraiture—free of harsh facial shadows, allowing skin tones to register with uniform clarity.

Sorting through the selects at the end, I noticed that while some movements appeared a bit clumsy, they actually captured the endearing, bashful essence of the character wonderfully. Every cosplay endeavor is a fresh journey that demands tremendous dedication, from tailoring garments to calibrating mental headspace on set. I hope this photo set conveys a touch of her adorable charm to everyone.
