A tremendous amount of effort went into bringing this Qipao look of Implacable from Azur Lane to life, from preliminary fitting to the final shots. The red modified qipao was made from a lustrous satin fabric that caught the studio and ambient lights beautifully. The cutout designs across the chest and waist place high demands on tailoring and physique, so I deliberately matched it with black lace-trimmed undergarments to ensure any exposed edges looked intentional and cohesive. The wig is a pale blonde long straight style, trimmed with blunt-cut bangs to flatter the facial contour. To coordinate with the reddish eye makeup, I wore matching red contact lenses; the resulting look projected far more alluring Onee-san charm than originally anticipated. The white floral hairpin and red tassel hairpiece on my head were hand-assembled, complemented by a gold choker to max out the intricate details.

The convention venue was packed with crowds that day, making the shoot quite physically taxing. The first set was an antique pavilion where I posed leaning against the wooden railing. To showcase bodily curves, I kept my waist and core constantly engaged, readjusting the angle of crossed legs numerous times. The photographer suggested resting my chin on my hand or letting my arm drop naturally while directing an intense, straight gaze into the lens. While the plush shawl looked gorgeous, wearing it under those indoor temperatures was undeniably warm. Moving later to an interior set with bamboo groves and wooden furnishings felt significantly more comfortable. In the shot seated on the bench, I intentionally crossed my legs to reveal the thigh-high black stockings and lace garter band. The strappy high-heel design accentuated the ankles, rendering sleek calf contours under the interplay of light and shadow. The element I am most satisfied with in this look is the display of leg lines—the high side slit truly commands the viewer's visual focus.

During touch-ups between takes, I paid meticulous attention to blending the eyeshadow; red pigment can easily make the eyes appear puffy, so deep brown was used to contour the outer corners, paired with a deep crimson lipstick that echoed the qipao's hue. My nails were prepped with a clear nude polish, harmonizing elegantly with the jade bangle on my wrist. I initially worried the contrast between the white plush shawl and the crimson dress would be too stark, but in retrospect, the shawl not only enriched compositional layering, but also softly framed the arms, allowing visual attention to anchor firmly onto the overall styling. To evoke that 'breathtaking glimpse,' I dedicated time to practicing my gaze. A true Onee-san aura isn't conjured simply by maintaining a cold expression; it demands composed, unhurried poise. Whether leaning languidly against a pillar or sitting authoritatively on the sofa, the secret lies in physical stability. The vase on the tea table was technically part of the set, yet framing shots through it added rich narrative mood. The selected black high heels were a full ten centimeters high; standing in them for hours made my feet thoroughly sore, yet the instant I stood tall, the presence was unmistakable. Featuring lace garter details, the black stockings offered far richer visual depth than plain sheer tights, making them one of my personal favorite aspects of this styling. While moving around in this dress was rather cumbersome, the final visual results fully rewarded every bit of effort. This series documents my interpretation of the look, and I hope it brings everyone a refreshing visual experience.
