[Lynae cosplay] Wuthering Waves Bilibili World: This Leather Skirt & Black Stockings Look Is So Badass

The convention photos for this Lynae look are finally edited! To capture her cool, fierce aura, a lot of dedication went into the hair and makeup. The green-and-gold gradient wig needed a solid base before braiding the side plaits, pinning down the hairpieces, and applying generous amounts of styling spray. For makeup, I accentuated the red-toned eyeshadow and eyeliner, aiming for a sharper, more aggressive edge on camera. The gradient layers of the wig caught the expo lighting wonderfully, though styling it was undeniably time-consuming.

Looking at wardrobe details, the white shirt cuffs are cinched with straps, layered beneath a structured black leather harness detailed with rivets and buckles. The tiered black ruffled leather skirt produced subtle rustling sounds when moving, while the metallic chains and buckles at the waist anchored a sense of heavy, tactile depth. For accessories, black fingerless leather gloves stacked with multiple bracelets added striking flair to every pose. The black thigh-high stockings with garter straps were a personal favorite feature; even though the venue got quite hot, they looked fantastic in the final frames.

The prop was a mint-green sci-fi gun accented with a few dangling plush charms—a lovely touch of contrast against the tough exterior. During the shoot, the yellow backdrop provided a punchy color contrast. The photographer on-site was fantastic with angles, having me step onto a high stool, holding the firearm in one hand while resting the other against my head. To project that fierce, piercing gaze, we tested several poses. For instance, in the first shot pointing the gun straight down the barrel of the lens, keeping my arm fully extended while engaging my core was surprisingly tiring. The sideways aiming pose also demanded serious waist strength to stay balanced. With every movement, the chains and metal accessories clinked and swayed, genuinely evoking a combat-ready tension. While waiting for the photographer to tweak lighting, I had to hold poses steadily to keep the skirt pleats and leg lines pristine. Capturing that airborne flutter of hair also took repeated head turns while keeping my facial expression totally composed.

The convention floor was noisy and bustling with crowds, but slipping into character meant zeroing in entirely on the camera lens and emotional intent. Lynae has an instantly recognizable design that calls for bold stances and a cool, aloof demeanor. While cosplaying is physically demanding—from early morning makeup to posing on heels in crowded halls—seeing the illuminated sheen of the green gradient hair, alongside the crisp lines formed by the leather skirt and black stockings, makes every ounce of effort worthwhile. This shooting experience at Bilibili World was unforgettable, and I'm deeply grateful to the photographer for capturing these moments.
