The texture handling of the Toy Merchant 'Zang' costume was the core part of this photoshoot. The combination of black lace, glossy ribbons, and a large area of purple roses makes the garment very layered, and just the preliminary preparation of the skirt hem and tulle took a lot of time. For the shoot, I specifically chose a vintage studio set with red velvet curtains and retro gilded chandeliers as main elements; the red and black environment perfectly highlighted the magnificence of this outfit. Regarding lighting design, the photographer used warm fill light in combination with the ambient light to make the color transition of the skin and clothing texture more natural, and the contours at the highlights were well-preserved. The entire shooting process involved exploring framing compositions for sitting and kneeling postures, using high stools and a black-and-white checkered floor to stabilize the visual center. The pearl chain at the waist and the lace on the cuffs easily blended into the background color, so I artificially increased the spatial depth between the character and the background during the shoot. I also participated in the post-production editing throughout, focusing on the sharpness of the lace texture, skin tone uniformity, and the highlights in the eyes, making the final dark-toned atmosphere look clean rather than messy. To restore such a dressed-up character, one must pay attention to the physical details of the costume while finding the right posture to convey the character's inner aloofness.
