This time, I'm sharing Convention photos of Lynette: Lily of the Valley Waltz from Genshin Impact. The crowd was massive on the day of the convention; capturing these two relatively clean shots was all thanks to the photographer's patience and the on-site lighting coordination. I chose Lynette's Lily of the Valley Waltz outfit this time, featuring an overall color palette blending blue, white, and cyan-green, which visually feels very refreshing and matches the summer convention ambiance perfectly.
First, regarding hair, makeup, and the wig: the silvery-white short hair with a gradient, paired with cat ears, was accented with pearls and ribbons on top. I intentionally drew the red marking under my right eye, which, combined with light blue colored contacts, captured that feline agility—languid yet slightly tsundere. The outfit features an off-shoulder sheer tulle design with abundant ruffles and a black lace choker at the neckline. The large black bow at the back served as a crucial visual centerpiece during shooting, making back and profile contours much clearer. The cyan ribbons across the chest and the pearl-accented sleeves at the wrists also enhanced the overall delicacy.
To avoid excessive background clutter during shooting, the photographer used a wide aperture to blur the exhibition aisles and passersby behind me, making the subject stand out. The first photo is a half-body standing shot holding a white-and-green bouquet. This pose was used to slightly shield the view while leveraging the bouquet to add depth and layering to the frame. Because the skirt hem is quite wide, I deliberately chose a slightly angled profile, flattering my proportions while displaying my legs and waistline. The sheer tulle above the chest is very translucent, and with front fill light, it yielded a radiant skin texture—making it one of my favorite shots.
The second photo features a kneeling/squatting composition. This posture deliberately lowers the center of gravity, resting my chin gently on my left hand while bracing the ground with my right hand; paired with a slightly downward camera tilted slightly upward, it creates an artful, charming cuteness looking up into the lens. Because the skirt is quite puffy, care had to be taken when squatting down to smooth out the hem. We shot for about ten minutes on-site, surrounded by quite a few fellow fans watching. When portraying Lynette Cosplay, the state of the eyes is vital, so I intentionally sought a balance between languidness and sharp alertness during shooting.
Shooting Convention photos tests one's adaptability to the environment; although there was background clutter, softening it with a wide aperture prevented the photos from feeling stiff. While this Lily of the Valley Waltz dress is stunning, it has countless small ornaments and accessories, taking quite a bit of time from dressing to post-styling adjustments; nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the final presentation. The lighting on-site was also fantastic, faithfully capturing the delicate textures of the white tulle and blue dress. The convention experience was wonderful, and I'm sharing these two on-site shots to record a joyful day.
