The theme for this shoot was anchored in the milestone of the Amiya JP 6th Anniversary, weaving in narrative undertones from Arknights - Bolívar Diagnosed to build the scene. As the core protagonist, Amiya's black-and-white dress features an off-the-shoulder cut, where the white ruffles along the neckline contrast sharply against the black satin-textured bodice. When selecting the costume, I chose a structured black fabric for the corset to firmly sculpt the silhouette on camera, while the white skirt was fashioned with multiple tiers of sheer organza and delicate lace to achieve airy, voluminous movement when walking. To honor her canonical look, I wore vivid blue contact lenses alongside soft pinkish-brown animal ears and geometric, angular black headpieces, striving for a harmonious balance between gentleness and sharp composure. Styling the long brown hair took considerable care—especially the thick side braid, which I banded in sections with white silk ribbons to add dimensional interest, while trimming and setting the bangs with hairspray to prevent stray flyaways or harsh reflections under studio lights.
For set decoration, a pristine white grand piano and a lush wall covered in blue and white flowers formed the primary backdrop. The piano's glossy lacquer finish produced gorgeous reflections, which also demanded meticulous lighting control; we relied heavily on large softboxes to minimize harsh glare and unwanted reflections on the fallboard. In my hands, I held a vibrant bouquet accented with delicate white down plumes, details that breathed organic life into the frame. The set was brightly illuminated, with the blue and white palette imparting an exceptionally crisp, luminous clarity. I explored diverse postures—such as holding the blooms centrally while meeting the lens directly, or casting a backward glance with one hand resting softly against the piano keys. While seated on the piano bench, I shifted my weight laterally and crossed my legs to accentuate the cascades of the skirt and clean body lines. The black gloves paired with blue wrist rings were vital finishing touches; though somewhat tricky to adjust, they stood out brilliantly in the final frames. Emotionally, expressions required careful restraint—not overly bubbly, but grounded in quiet contemplation with a focused, piercing gaze.
Sustaining the shoot was physically demanding: navigating multiple petticoat layers on a tall piano bench while preserving graceful posture tested my endurance. The bouquet carried substantial weight, and keeping it steady at fixed angles left my arm muscles slightly strained, yet capturing that immaculate visual harmony made every micro-effort worthwhile. From the exact angle of the headpiece to the precise draping of the skirt hem, every element was vetted before the camera. Ultimately, this visual project sought not merely to mimic her appearance, but to convey a serene yet resilient energy through lighting and material textures. Rather than heavy, saturated colors, the interplay of blue, white, and black elevated Amiya's refined charm. The piano keys and blossoms enriched the frame with storytelling resonance, made possible by thorough pre-production planning that allowed the final images to radiate their authentic quality.
