This Amiya cosplay took considerable thought and care, from initial prep to the final shots. Looking closely at the seated pose in Photo 8, to better showcase this multi-layered ice-blue tulle gown and white high heels, I intentionally sat on the edge of the sofa. Crossing my legs in this pose visually elongates proportions while allowing the skirt to bloom around me like petals. Paired with the blue-and-white choker around my neck and white lace gloves in hand, the character's elegant presence was instantly set. The silver metallic threads wound around the gloves easily tangled during the shoot, demanding caution when moving around, yet that slight sense of restraint made it even easier to immerse into character.
The dark brown Bunny ears on my head are quite voluminous, and wearing the headband for an extended period gave me a headache. The silver thorn crown at the base of the Bunny ears was the crowning touch of the ensemble, though its weight required multiple bobby pins secured deep inside the wig. I styled the wig in advance; the straight-cut bangs paired with wispy strands framing the sides flattered my facial shape, and combined with blue contact lenses, brought out that serene, gentle, and delicate 2D aesthetic. The light-blue bow and metallic accents on the bodice serve as the soul of the outfit; the resulting white-and-blue palette felt just like standing backstage at a Rhodes Island concert, touched with quiet serenity.
The set was prepared inside a studio adorned with abundant white florals, sheer curtains, and plush rugs, with clear, translucent lighting aimed at creating a high-key, airy visual effect. In a sitting pose like Photo 8, the lines of the legs and the tiered volume of the skirt were key, whereas lying amid the flowers in Photo 5 aimed to convey relaxation and effortless grace. In the shot hugging the plush rabbit, its brown tone resonated perfectly with the color of my Bunny ears, making it delightful to shoot. Many friends asked how to make the skirt flare so beautifully: the secret is holding a steady core while turning, letting your arms guide the tulle and ribbons to flutter along with natural momentum rather than forcefully tossing them.
This cosplay journey deepened my connection with the character. Whether looking back over my shoulder, resting among the flowers, or sitting quietly on the couch, every nuance was fine-tuned to reflect Amiya's signature blend of resilience and tenderness in Arknights. Although running around carrying a heavy gown was exhausting, and constantly managing tangled metallic threads and dress folds took effort, seeing how light, shadow, and ice-blue collided in the camera made every bit of hard work worthwhile. I hope this photo set conveys a quiet yet empowering feeling to everyone.
