[Ryuge Kisaki Cosplay] Calmness and Coolness in Blue Archive - Image 2

Putting on this deep blue modified Qipao with a golden dragon pattern, donning the iconic crescent-shaped hair ornament and black tactical gloves, today's identity is that calm yet slightly mysterious Ryuge Kisaki. This costume design really tests one's figure and temperament; the stand-up collar and sleeveless design make the lines look very sharp. Under the soft outdoor light, the golden embroidery presents an excellent glossy texture, which, combined with the black gloves and long prop gun in hand, delivers a visual that blends Chinese classical elegance with the crisp efficiency of modern tactics, making it a beautiful piece of Chinese-style Qipao photography.

For this collaboration with photographer Teacher Mo Qiufeng, a Chinese garden-style architectural complex was chosen as the outdoor location. The gear used was a Sony a7C II paired with a 28-75mm G2 lens—this combination is incredibly reliable in outdoor environments with complex lighting, capturing personal close-ups without losing the pavilions and water features in the background. To capture the visual tension of a "full-screen divine shot challenge," we kept experimenting with different compositions.

The single-handed gun-shouldering pose in the second image actually places a heavy demand on muscle control. Although the prop isn't very heavy, maintaining the gun-holding action for a long time is indeed a challenge for the shoulders and arms. To ensure the frame doesn't look stiff, I deliberately adjusted the angle of my torso while holding this pose, leaning my center of gravity slightly backward. Meanwhile, the detail in Figure 1 of sitting on a bench with a lollipop on my fingertips is meant to show a touch of relaxation beneath the character's hardcore exterior. This contrast is exactly what attracts me so much to this character.

It was actually a cloudy day when we shot, with no harsh direct sunlight; this soft diffused light perfectly smoothed out the shadows on my face, making my skin tone look very translucent. The deep blue clothing presented a premium matte texture under the cool light, forming a great warm-and-cool contrast with the golden coiled dragon embroidery on the dress. For this set of photos, I chose to shoot completely barefoot throughout, which allowed my limbs to extend more naturally, and the tactile feel of my toes against the bench and suitcase made my overall state much more relaxed, enhancing the quality of this outdoor portrait.

During the process, we simulated many interaction states, such as placing the prop gun aside or casually resting one hand on the bench. The photographer is highly skilled at capturing these subtle changes in expression, so everyone can see that slightly sharp gaze in Figure 2. Honestly, shooting from the angle in Figure 2 really tests the camera positioning. The 28-75mm G2 beautifully elongated the visual proportions of the legs at the wide end, and the a7C II's eye autofocus was also incredibly precise, locking on steadily with just a slight movement.

For me, portraying this character well means not only restoring the costume but also expressing that calm, collected, and effortless temperament. Whether it is the static posture of holding a gun or the playful act of eating candy, I hope to create some magical chemical reactions with the shooting environment. This set of outdoor full-screen images basically achieved our expected results, making it a very pleasant shooting experience.
