[Marie cosplay] Gym Uniform Marie in Blue Archive: An Afternoon of Sunlight and Storage Room

Getting straight to the point: for this shoot of gym uniform Marie, my prep focused on capturing her pure, innocent yet athletic temperament. A lot of thought went into hair and makeup. I chose a bright orange wig and carefully trimmed the layered edges so the strands naturally framed my face. The fluffy animal ears on top are the undisputed soul of the design; I spent considerable time selecting them to ensure their color seamlessly blended with the wig. Accented with the white flower and green leaf hairpin on the left side of the headband, the head details were completely maxed out. The eye makeup was paired with luminous blue colored contact lenses that look crystal-clear in the light, giving an open, soulful gaze.

For the outfit, the classic white short-sleeved tee with navy blue piping feels wonderfully comfortable. Draping the navy blue athletic track jacket casually over one shoulder added great dimensional layering, and the black logo on the left chest of the tee was faithfully recreated. To match the character's athletic setting, I paired white athletic shorts with white thigh-high White stockings, which not only elongated the leg line but also radiated youthful vigor. The orange lanyard and the black STAFF badge hanging around my neck served as the perfect finishing touches, introducing narrative depth to the setting. The navy blue wrist/arm sleeves on my hands were equally scrutinized for matching texture and tone.

The location was an industrial-style equipment room or backstage. The light blue-grey metal lockers, signs with large numbers, red-and-white boundary poles, and scattered colorful traffic cones in the background fit the theme perfectly. The wooden benches and countertops provided fantastic interaction props. The photographer was masterful at catching light and shadow, using the sunlight slicing through the window blinds to create artistic slatted light patterns across the wall and my body. This warm natural illumination enveloped the frame in a tranquil, lazy afternoon warmth.

In terms of posing under this lighting, I aimed for total relaxation. Whether leaning forward slightly on the wooden bench with hands resting naturally beside my legs, or gently touching my collarbone with relaxed fingertips as in another shot, there was no need to force dramatic expressions. Maintaining a serene, slightly quiet demeanor naturally communicated Marie's earnest and adorably naive personality. In a prop-dense environment like an equipment room, framing had to steer clear of visual clutter—such as angling my body slightly against the lockers or using elongated leg lines to guide the eye—keeping the focus firmly anchored on the character. From every garment detail to the interplay of light and shadow, this full set strives to convey her unique charm.
