Dressed in this black blazer jacket and white collared shirt, with the green-and-black striped necktie neatly tied, the little kitties swarmed around almost the instant I squatted down on the cobblestone pavement. To faithfully portray Awa Subaru this time, I tied thin white ribbon bows into my hair, while the pleated plaid skirt's length was fine-tuned to the ideal proportion—ensuring the character's crisp, tailored presence was maintained whether crouching or walking, without hindering Cat interaction. Black leather shoes clicked crisply against the colorful cobblestones, creating a delightful atmosphere amidst the exotic architectural surroundings of Cat Street.

To make this shoot successful, the key wasn't striking elaborate poses, but learning how to coexist peacefully with these fluffy little creatures. The walkway on Cat Street was spacious, so I placed my phone to the side and lowered my body's center of gravity as much as possible to minimize any intimidating presence in the cats' eyes. At first, a grey-and-white tabby crept over slowly, curiously sniffing the hem of my pleated skirt. Before long, a pure white long-haired cat also trotted up; its fur looked exceptionally soft under the natural sunlight, and I couldn't resist reaching out to gently stroke its head. To capture these candid interactions, I asked my photographer friend not to call out to me loudly, but rather to shoot from afar using a telephoto lens so the cats wouldn't bolt from sudden noises.

The ginger cat whose cheeks I cradled in the photo was especially hilarious—it was originally dozing on a table, and when I softly cupped its cheeks, it wore an expression of being half-asleep, mildly resigned, yet thoroughly enjoying the attention. It reminded me of so many sassy yet endearing moments in everyday life. As for the light-colored kitten held in my arms in the final photo, it was an absolute sweetheart. To make the scene look cozier, I unbuttoned the blazer slightly, letting it snuggle completely between my plaid skirt and palms. Its eyes narrowed into thin slits as its body fully relaxed; that warmth and rise and fall of its breathing felt almost palpable through the screen.

The fabric of this JK uniform is quite crisp; even when crouching, the blazer's shoulder line preserved the character's poised silhouette without sagging. However, the pleats of the skirt can easily spread out during prolonged crouching, so with every change of posture, I smoothed down the lines of the hemline. The choice of hair ribbons was equally vital: the delicate white ribbons created a striking contrast against the dark long hair, fluttering gently whenever I looked down or turned sideways, adding a touch of lightness to the relatively grounded blazer look. There were many tourists that day documenting the scene with feather wands or phones; although the surroundings were bustling, it actually sparked my expressive drive. Cosplaying in a public street demands sharp focus—monitoring the cats' reactions constantly while being mindful of camera angles to ensure every frame remained uncluttered.

During breaks, watching the free-spirited cats around me—some sunbathing on steps, others rolling around tourists' feet—made me realize there was no need to force angles. Simply moving to their rhythm and catching unintended touches and lingering gazes yielded dynamic, authentic photos. After a full day of shooting, my knees were aching from crouching, but seeing those warm, genuine moments captured in the camera made every second worthwhile. Cats possess a magical power to slow down the air around them, giving me a much more grounded, lived-in appreciation of this outfit.
