When shooting this Girls Band Cry set, we specifically chose an urban pedestrian overpass with glass railings. After extensive discussions with the photographer, we decided to use the cool-toned architecture and flickering red lights in the background to accentuate Iseri Nina's inner resolve and rebellious spirit. Night shoots are notoriously challenging due to unpredictable lighting; to capture the most authentic emotions, we tested numerous angles back and forth. During preparation, the hairstyle and outfit nuances demanded the most effort. The purplish-red ponytail and arched bangs were crafted to recreate her slightly raw, unpolished edge. The black zip-up hoodie, leather choker, and thigh garter paired with fishnets in this Stockings cosplay let the cold wind right through, leaving my legs somewhat numb, but retaining these exact details was crucial because the fishnet stockings are a core element of her signature style. For makeup, the focus was firmly on the intensity of her gaze: I chose blue-violet contact lenses and adjusted the eyeliner angle repeatedly to capture her awkward yet fiercely stubborn expression. Regarding props, we tracked down the exact matching guitar model, whose authentic weight made my postures feel much more grounded. Of course, I wasn't doing this alone. Kawaragi Momoka cosplay rocked a white-haired beret look paired with a patch-covered leather jacket and leopard-print innerwear, radiating seasoned rock flair. Awa Subaru cosplay was bursting with energy holding her drumsticks, while Rupa and Tomo Ebizuka fully inhabited their characters. The ensemble chemistry was incredible; after scouting several locations, we found a stretch with optimal background lighting, utilizing the overpass glass reflections and vanishing perspective to frame everyone seamlessly in the final group shot. For post-processing, we deliberately maintained authentic film grain without over-smoothing skin or reshaping faces, aiming to preserve that youthful, unpolished, yet explosive emotional energy that defines these band girls. This photoshoot represents the dedication of our entire team—far beyond dress-up poses, it was a truly immersive experience into the characters and their story.
