This time I cosplayed Goldenglow's Sanrio collaboration magical cat skin from Arknights, which is the Hello Kitty collaboration style everyone knows. The overall look is very sweet, featuring a pink wig with straight bangs paired with plush animal ears on top, decorated with red lace bows and heart pendants—crucial details for instantly recognizing feline elements. For makeup, I tried yellow-green contacts that fit the character well, applying slightly heavier blush to emphasize that fluffy cuteness. The entire outfit is a red-and-white Western-style dress with white ruffles, a large red bow, a red bead at the neckline, and multi-layered lace on the skirt. I specially paired it with White stockings to complement the theme. During the shoot, I held a Hello Kitty plush doll with a tiny crown on its head. This doll carried significant visual weight; being a Sanrio collaboration skin, the texture of this prop heavily influenced the final 2D photo quality.
The first and fourth photos were taken inside the convention hall, with the 'HALL 3' signage, lighting gear, and crowds in the background. The lighting was quite complex, requiring the photographer to adjust angles to avoid harsh ambient spill, giving the shots an authentic on-site convention feel. The second and third photos were selfies taken outdoors on the stone pavement; while aperture and distances varied, natural outdoor light captured skin tones and garment layers much more clearly, showing off the leg styling with White stockings to perfection. For poses and composition: considering the wide silhouette of the dress and animal ears, I used some close-ups and half-body crops to create intimacy while accentuating leg lines. Taking selfies from a slight high-angle perspective balanced facial, ear, and leg proportions nicely without muting the rosy skin tones, keeping it looking natural.
To make the convention photos memorable, I switched between multiple poses, like winking or peeking from behind the plush doll. The outfit was heavier than expected with extensive ruffles and lace, requiring careful movement. For wig care, the pink hair needed regular brushing to avoid tangling. Garment details—such as the neckline bead and cuff ruffles—took careful attention. While holding the plush cat, the crown easily tilted and needed frequent adjusting. For full-body shots, I made sure the White stockings and skirt hem were aligned neatly. Portraying this role required capturing a cat's lively yet slightly proud charm, so I practiced expressions and gaze extensively. Despite the bustling convention crowd, managing to capture these shots in a quiet corner made this Goldenglow cosplay photoshoot very satisfying.
