When shooting this set, the most time-consuming part was actually the subtle costume, makeup, and prop details. To present an ethereal feel behind the pink wig, I spent a lot of time managing frizzy hair strands, not simply chasing sleek smoothness, but preserving a slightly fluffy, airy texture. The black piping lines and metal rivets on the white matte base fabric needed to fit my body curves precisely; the tightness was adjusted just right—neither digging into skin uncomfortably nor sagging during large movements. The blue-purple gradient bow on the chest served as a striking visual focal point, displaying a high-end satin luster under top lighting and creating a lovely upper-and-lower harmony with the golden bow tie at the neck.

Setting up the scene required pure white Roman pillars to complement the pink background. Vintage floral arrangements of varying heights were intentionally placed on site, which, combined with the dynamic presence of white doves, enhanced the narrative feel of the entire frame. Interacting with the white doves was actually the hardest part of the shoot to control. To capture the dove resting on the flowers, I had to keep my leg movements light while minimizing my breathing, fearing I might startle it. For another shot capturing the moment of releasing the dove, finding the point of balance took a long time, but luckily my wrist strength supported the scepter's posture, giving the photographer a great opportunity for a candid shot.

In shooting full-body anime cosplay like this, posture and body management are crucial. Especially with the golden crisscross leg rings on my thighs and the pure white thigh-high boots, paired with an already fitted miniskirt, any slight awkwardness could draw focus to unnatural angles. When reviewing the playback, I noticed that slightly bending the knees or staggering my steps made leg lines look smoother and gave me a more relaxed posture compared to standing straight. For makeup, I went for a clear, soft look with a light base, emphasizing the brow bone and nose tip with highlighters so my facial contours remained dimensional under bright lights. I experimented with a special purple shimmer blending for eye makeup, which, paired with curled lashes, made my gaze look brighter and clearer.

For post-processing color grading, we didn't push contrast artificially high; instead, we adjusted the white balance to give the photos a gentle cream-like texture. The color transition between the pink background and white outfit required careful handling to prevent the white clothing from picking up a reddish tint from ambient light. I also asked my editor friend to subtly brighten the highlights on my arms and legs while retaining outfit details, giving skin a delicate texture. Before the shoot, I was somewhat worried that the studio setting wouldn't be spacious enough and might restrict my movements, but during the shoot, the confined space actually allowed me to focus more on engaging with the camera and fine-tuning my expressions.

Wearing a costume with such distinct character traits, every time I looked into the lens, I instinctively adjusted my stance and hand gestures, attempting to weave the character's uniquely paradoxical aura of aloofness and gentleness into my gaze. Toward the end of the shoot, even the white doves became accustomed to my presence, sitting on the nearby white Roman pillar and tilting their heads to watch me—a moment that felt immensely healing. What many might not realize is that the hem of this outfit's cape was sewn with seven or eight layers of sheer tulle to create an ethereal, flowing effect. While it looks divine when moving, it easily gets caught in the leg rings if not arranged properly. Before every shot, I spent a minute or two tidying the skirt and cape to ensure everything presented its best form in frame.

This process of focusing on a character, recreating it, and experiencing its world has itself become a soothing escape in my life. The pink light and shadows, the white birds, the delicate accessories, along with my passionate, shining self in front of the lens, are all woven together in these final photos.
