[Virtuosa cosplay] Arknights: The Cold and Alluring Musician in Black-and-White Uniform with Black stockings

This black-and-white uniform and prop set for Arknights Virtuosa Arturia cosplay was finally ready for the photoshoot; in fact, doing a female character as a boy (male cosplay) was a very fresh experience. During the preparation stage, adjusting the makeup took considerable time to soften facial features and physique to appear more feminine, especially crafting the eye makeup to convey a cool, piercing, yet melancholic look, taking several revisions of colored contacts before finding the right pair. The outfit has rich layering: a white jacket, neck bow, black skirt with gold decorative trim, paired with over-the-knee Black stockings and high heels, creating a strong visual impact together. The shoot was split across two scenes: first was the pure white studio, mainly relying on overhead and side lighting to highlight silhouettes and emphasize that aloof ambiance. The shattered black crown floating above the head and the dark red geometric fragments behind easily revealed rigging flaws under strong light; the prop master supported them with transparent acrylic rods for a long time, and post-processing took significant effort to make them blend naturally. The guitar-like weapon held in hand had great texture and substantial weight; when striking standing and seated poses, careful attention was paid to keeping the leg lines looking slender—especially in the seated series, extending the legs forward to showcase the best effect of the Black stockings and shoes. In the second half, we switched to the piano and floral wall set where the lighting softened instantly and the atmosphere grew more elegant. I tried compositions holding a white carved picture frame and turning back while seated at the piano; using the floral bushes as foreground occlusion helped conceal male bone structure effectively, while using hand gestures with props to express the character's temperament. During post-processing, delicate retouching was applied to areas like hands and arm contours that could reveal male traits, while carefully preserving the garment's authentic texture. Throughout the shoot, demands for prop coordination and facial expression control were very high, especially maintaining a focused gaze. With thorough preparation, both costume details and scene transitions closely aligned with the character's lore, making the final photoshoot results truly fulfilling.
