[Yumemizuki Mizuki Cosplay] Inazuma-Style Tea Party Photoshoot for Genshin Impact, Perfect Score on the W-Sitting Pose

Sitting in a kneeling posture on the platform of a wooden corridor wearing this wide-sleeved Japanese style cosplay outfit, the tea scoop in my hand was the only prop that needed precise handling today. Wanting to perfectly recreate the character's kneeling pose indeed required tightening my core and maintaining the natural curve of my spine. This posture, affectionately dubbed "W-sitting" by fans, was actually not as easy during actual shooting as one might imagine—especially when keeping the elegant curve of holding the tea scoop with both hands while allowing my gaze to project a languid, dreamy feel, which demanded high muscle control. Precisely because this iconic posture was captured so well, today's photoshoot efficiency was extremely satisfying.

Regarding the crafting of this outfit, careful consideration went into everything from hair color to wearing fake elf ears. The light blue curly wig featured a high updo on top, carrying an ethereal touch, while the cascading curly locks on both sides framed my face perfectly, making facial features appear softer. The main costume consists of a white base paired with wide sleeves featuring pink-purple gradient dyeing, with Japanese cloud pattern prints intentionally crafted at the cuffs and hem. The overall cut balances everyday simplicity with the flowing elegance of the character design. To complement this ensemble, the makeup intentionally deepened the shading at the outer corners of the eyes using reddish-pink eyeshadow tones, paired with purple-pink colored contacts to shape an ethereal gaze.

Shooting in an outdoor environment required considering changes in natural lighting strength and atmospheric integration with surrounding surroundings. Today's location of choice was a wooden boardwalk corridor featuring a Japanese garden design, with wooden fences and lush greenery behind me; the color palette and textures of this environment naturally suited this attire. During shooting, the dark ceramic pot and tea set on the left served as great still-life props, allowing the frame to expand beyond just the person and unfold an immersive narrative around the "tea party" theme. The photographer captured many candid moments—sunlight filtering through leaves onto the sleeves made the pattern layering pop dynamically with light and shadow, carrying far more vitality than any studio shoot.

During breaks between shoots, I also compared my look with the chibi concept art below. The overall styling design indeed follows an anime fantasy style; recreating bright color pairings and signature hairstyle traits in real-life 3D while maintaining such high visual recognition is truly credited to meticulous costume and wig details. Although real-life scenes couldn't directly create the dreamy floating feel of the bubbles and cloud elements in the original art, using the tea set in hand against a rustic wooden backdrop instead created a unique contrast of "serene fantasy." Producing a set of photos is not just pressing the shutter, but the result of full cooperation from wig trimming and makeup adjustments to movement positioning. Today's photo set nicely balanced the character's anime traits with 3D realistic texture, making it a deeply enjoyable creative sharing session.
