Let's dive straight into this Columbina Cosplay photoshoot share. Shooting the Damselette cosplay of Columbina from Genshin Impact was a very interesting experience. The core of this set of photos lies in building a purely serene moonlight dreamscape free from war and strife.

In terms of clothing, this white and blue color-schemed dress adopts a layered wear of multiple layers of tulle and chiffon to ensure a certain lightness and fluffiness, but putting it on, taking it off, and organizing it really tests one's patience. To fit the character's setting, a mesh blindfold was specially used this time. Although this type of prop can add a mysterious temperament, it causes a certain interference with the model's vision. Especially when sitting or performing prayer postures, it requires relying on extra muscle memory to control the body's balance. The feather-like decorations on both sides of the head are fixed with manual glue, and both the texture and arc needed repeated adjustments, striving to display smooth lines under the lens.

For the choice of scene, the crescent moon and Roman pillars are very iconic elements. We chose a blue background as the base, cooperating with naturally projected light and shadow to create a soft atmosphere of mottled moonlight. The floor was covered with a highly reflective mirrored material, utilizing the reflection to stretch the depth of the entire frame. To make the picture more vivid, some white and blue bouquets were specially placed on the ground.

In movement design, besides standard sitting or kneeling postures, I leaned more toward those moments that can express quiet characteristics, such as crossing hands in front of the chest or placing hands together in prayer. At this time, the lines of the neck and shoulders naturally drive the presentation of the collarbone area, forming a great visual echo with the white tulle. During the shooting process, we paid special attention to the utilization of light and shadow. The angles of light coming in at different time periods produce completely different textures, and the light spots in this set of photos are a highly satisfying part of this shoot.

For makeup, some overly rich colors were discarded, focusing primarily on emphasizing the eye flush and the three-dimensionality of facial features, using a subtle pink eyeshadow to echo the red hair highlights to reinforce the character's unique appearance. Of course, the criss-cross straps on the legs are also one of the more eye-catching details in this look. Because of frequently changing sitting positions, the tightness and fit of the straps are very important. It did take quite some effort when putting them on, taking them off, and adjusting them, but for the final overall visual, these efforts were all worth it.

During the process of photography, we tried our best to find those moments where movements were relaxed but the artistic conception was ample. Moments like pausing slightly by the flower bushes or looking faintly to the side can catch natural and vivid images. From the initial makeup confirmation to the final output, the entire team was constantly aligning, striving to restore that kind of ethereal feel of the character using real-world light and shadow.

Specific adjustments during shooting were also critical. Because wearing this kind of light tulle skirt makes it very easy to deform and slip when walking or changing sitting positions, it was necessary to carefully organize the skirt hem and straps during every break between shoots. Although the mirrored surface on the ground can increase the layers of the image, it also means that this highly reflective material is quite slippery. When adopting a sitting posture, I had to be very careful, and the anti-slip treatment done in advance was critical for full-body shots entering the frame.

For makeup, to adapt to the strong light illumination of the studio shoot, the base makeup had to be made extremely close-fitting, so that the real texture of the skin could be retained during post-processing instead of looking overly edited. The red-and-black gradient part of the wig is the visual center of gravity for the character. Although the overall hairstyle looks simple, every single strand's direction was still carefully adjusted before shooting to ensure a light, natural sense of air under the lens. Shooting in a state with closed eyes or wearing a blindfold is actually a great test of grasping the character's inner emotions; though the gaze is blocked, body language can equally convey that quiet and slightly mysterious trait. Every photoshoot deepens the understanding of the character, and this presentation of Columbina gave me a further understanding of controlling the overall look. The final effect presented by this set of photos is a perfect realization of our initial vision.
