Sitting sideways on the asphalt surface of the road, the rough, grainy feeling of the ground against the soles of my feet surprisingly brings a strange peace of mind. When many people mention Cartethyia in Wuthering Waves, their first reaction might be those grand and heavy identities she bears. However, today I didn't intentionally shape her divine side, but rather wanted to express the relaxed sense of a "wandering knight." The greatest joy of outdoor photography is this "truly existing contrast"—the corner of a commercial street, a roadside traffic sign, and a cold drink shop filled with the breath of daily life, all placed in the same frame with this outfit full of elements from another world, creating a strong sense of impact.

The details of the costume prepared this time are truly rich. The black inner top and choker outline clean lines, paired with the layered white-based blue water ripple outerwear, especially that lightweight, flowing gradient long train behind me, which presents excellent extensibility when the wind rises. To make it convenient to walk around the street side and sit down for shooting, I specially restored her barefoot state. Although the asphalt ground texture is quite hard and can get a bit uncomfortable after sitting for a long time, this kind of effort is well worth it to fit the character's innate approachability and naturalness to the maximum extent.

In fact, when doing this Anime cosplay, I was thinking that the sense of contrast in her character setting is exactly what attracts me the most. She is set as the focus of natural elements, trends, and numerous expectations, yet she goes her own way and chooses a simple identity to wander around. This setting is highly romantic. Therefore, when organizing this set of photos, I also specifically picked backgrounds like road signs, street scenes, and glass curtain walls of buildings that contrast sharply with the fantasy wig and elf ears cosplay.

Overall, today's natural light conditions were quite soft without intense direct sunlight. The non-harsh light happened to capture both skin texture and costume fabrics softly and clearly. During the shoot, I was also trying out different sitting postures, whether bracing against the ground to gaze into the distance or curling up my knees to stabilize my center of gravity, all attempting to tell her own street story well. Before shooting, I was a bit worried about whether I would look out of place with the street scene, but by the end of the shoot, I completely let go and was fully immersed in the character experience. This is probably the charm of outdoor venues—there are no crowded crowds or fixed booths like at a comic convention, only the wind, the traffic flow, and a sense of freedom highly aligned with the character herself.
