For this set of Yuno photos, I specifically chose a visual scheme centered around deep blue and pure white. Although the gold components on the costume look heavy, they really tested the tension of my body movements and my weight control during the actual shoot. Especially for the metallic patchwork structure on the chest and neck, I spent a lot of effort on material selection to ensure a three-dimensional layered effect. The floor for this mirrored studio shoot used a highly reflective material, which, paired with the giant blue moon phase in the background, aimed to create a sense of serenity and power exclusive to Yuno. In terms of movement expression, catching Yuno's calm and in-control aura amidst the rotating phases of the moon was the main focus I wanted to capture. The kneeling posture was chosen to showcase the flowing feel of the costume's hem and the details of the leg accessories. These straps and rings were adjusted many times during early makeup and outfit trials, aiming to remain aesthetically pleasing without restricting the fluidity of movements during the photoshoot. The photographer's control over light and shadow was spot-on. The contrast between the blue-toned atmosphere and the golden metallic sheen significantly enhanced the image's texture. However, what surprised me most was the echo between reality and illusion brought by the mirrored reflections, as if splitting Yuno's world into two sides. Cosplay photography is actually a continuous process of exploring a character's personality. To make the overall styling align better with the character's setting, I observed the atmosphere of many related scenes, attempting to find her dynamic rhythm within static photos. The wig's color underwent multiple rounds of highlights and styling to present a distinctly layered blue tone, hoping to recreate her silhouette under the moonlight. The preparation process for this look was very long, experiencing repeated overhauls and restarts from custom-making parts to blending the overall anime-style fashion. But I really love the sense of balance presented in the end. Choosing this sitting composition not only displays the costume's layers beautifully but also makes the leg straps and ring ornaments one of the visual focal points. This leaning-towards-static form of expression actually fits my impression of Yuno much better when she is meditating or observing. I hope it can bring everyone an immersive visual experience and let you feel the unique charm of the character itself.
