This time at the Wuthering Waves booth at Guangzhou CICF 2026, I finally brought out Yangyang's Xuanling styling. To fit the concept of the Xuanling drifting with the wind, a lot of thought went into the preparation of the entire styling. The handling of the wig is a key point; to create the layered feel of the black-blue-white gradient, it required layered dyeing and setting treatment, especially the highlights at the hair ends, ensuring color changes can still be seen under strong light.

In terms of fabric selection for the costume, to reflect a sense of lightness, the wide-sleeve robe part used a semi-translucent chiffon material printed with ocean waves and cloud patterns. The inner black bustier and bright blue feather accessories at the waist required very meticulous handmade stitching, and the combination of metal rings and tassels gives the overall styling more layering. The black and white wing tailoring of the skirt hem is very distinctive; this asymmetric miniskirt design, coupled with hanging silver chains and tassels, creates a great dynamic effect when walking. The lower body is paired with black short boots, making the leg lines look slender and graceful, while also adding a touch of capable temperament to this multi-layered clothing structure.

In terms of makeup, the eye makeup leans towards red tones, with red tear moles dotted under the eyes, paired with light blue contact lenses, bringing the person's overall temperament closer to the character's detached and cold feel. The booth lighting is mainly blue-cyan tones, which fits the costume's colors very well. There are also huge white sculpture props next to the booth, making the whole space very immersive. During on-site shooting, to express the feeling of drifting with the wind, I would utilize the swinging of the large sleeves when turning and walking to capture dynamic shots, making the feathers and tassels look more agile.

The convention site was very lively, with many players and photographers around the booth who also love Wuthering Waves. Everyone was very enthusiastic when exchanging shooting angles and actions. Because the sleeves of the costume are very large, care needs to be taken not to block the face when posing, while showcasing the features of the clothing. A day of activity is indeed quite tiring, especially standing in short boots for a long time, but being able to showcase this styling containing many details on such a professional booth and win everyone's recognition makes it all feel worthwhile. I hope this Xuanling styling brings everyone a different visual experience.

Actually, when wearing this costume, there are many small details to pay attention to. For example, the metal fasteners at the waist need to be adjusted to the proper position so they don't look cumbersome while highlighting the waistline. The blue feather neck ornament on the neck also needs to echo the accessories on the chest. For this CICF booth activity, I did some rehearsals in advance to ensure maximum display of the costume's flowing feel within the limited booth space. The photographers on site would guide some actions, such as fingers gently touching the lips or slightly turning sideways to show the waistline. Because the skirt design is relatively short, special care is needed when sitting down or bending over, but this pair of black short boots paired with silver buckles actually adds a hint of combat vibe to the overall styling, which matches hand-held actions very well.

The setup of the Wuthering Waves booth this time was also very thoughtful; the background big screen and the lighting and shadow effects of the stage provided great conditions for shooting. Although the weather in Guangzhou was a bit sultry, the air conditioning inside the venue was strong enough, making it acceptable to wear this multi-layered fabric costume. Looking back at this cosplay experience, from combing the wig to wearing the costume, every link was filled with love for the character. Being able to meet everyone at the CICF site and record these wonderful moments with the lens is a very precious memory. I hope to pass on Xuanling's agile vibe to everyone through this group of photos.
