Our Summer Pockets lolita group photoshoot was finally completed smoothly! From locking in the lineup and sourcing the costumes to the actual shoot day, preparations took over a month, and the finished images turned out even better than anticipated. The five of us portrayed Shiroha Naruse, Ao Sorakado, Kushima Kamome, Tsumugi Wenders, and Umi Kato. Since we all share a passion for this dark-sweet aesthetic of lolita fashion, we wanted to stage a special collaborative project fusing galgame elements. The wardrobe centers predominantly on black, accented with pink and white lace trims, ribbon bows, and pleated hemlines. To faithfully capture each character's canonical identity, we selected high-saturation wigs in blue, pink, silver-white, soft lilac, and blonde, creating a vibrant chromatic contrast across the entire frame.

On the makeup front, to harmonize with the delicate, adorable tone of the dresses, we intentionally accentuated under-eye blush, accessorized with varied lace wrist cuffs, black platform shoes, white over-the-knee Stockings, and frilly ankle socks. Even though each of us embodied a distinct character, the cohesive silhouette of the attire unified the group's visual harmony. The weather was fantastic on shoot day. We began on a wooden boardwalk lined with glass railings, backed by clear skies, river waters, and distant urban high-rises, where sunlight cast a warm, radiant gleam across the wooden deck. A vintage suitcase plastered with assorted travel stickers served as our central anchor prop; we took turns sitting atop it or leaning against it to pose, while a small white plush doll naturally resolved awkward hand positioning.

Later, we transitioned to an adjacent concrete architectural zone. The neutral gray walls and massive stone pillars offered a stark, industrial texture that forged an intense visual clash with the black-and-pink lolita dresses. While seated along the steps, we constantly reminded one another to adjust skirt hems and sock alignments, as the tiered frills could easily lose their clean silhouette if creased. Directing a group photo's kinetic harmony and unified eye-lines proved the greatest hurdle. We explored varied formations—side-by-side standing, staggered step seating, and sitting abreast along the pavement to showcase leg contours. To capture our envisioned overhead angle, the photographer practically leaned flat across the railing edge. Throughout the shoot, we also had to keep long wavy wigs from catching against delicate lace trims, as windy outdoor conditions quickly cause synthetic curls to tangle.

Although navigating steps repeatedly in platform footwear while sustaining delicate micro-expressions was physically demanding, seeing every member's expressive energy and wardrobe craftsmanship preserved in the final shots made all our efforts worthwhile. Gathering together for a shared passion and executing a coordinated themed project was immensely rewarding, with everyone supporting each other from wardrobe adjustments to refining posing details.
