Shooting this Azur Lane Ping Hai cosplay photoset involved extensive preparation for both wardrobe and scenic backdrops. The first set was captured on location in a commercial kitchen, wearing a modified cheongsam-style maid dress in red and black. The collar features a traditional mandarin frog-button neckline with cutout styling, while the sleeve seams blend red and black with white ruffled trims for rich visual layering. A small plush panda doll hangs at the waist, complemented by yellow bow accents along the skirt flounce and over-the-knee stockings. To match the culinary setting, props included stainless steel prep basins, a massive cleaver, bamboo steamers, and a wok. Wielding a hefty cleaver to prep ingredients or presenting freshly cooked delicacies toward the lens created a delightfully fun contrast. The glowing flame from the stove and the hum of the range hood made the ambiance remarkably authentic, while rising steam from the wok infused the composition with genuine warmth. Because the skirt is relatively short, bending over to grab props required extra caution, and movement ranges were coordinated with the photographer beforehand to ensure holding the cleaver looked natural yet safe.

The other set was an outdoor night shoot, switching into a white dress paired with a cropped plush jacket. For this look, I styled double chignon buns accented with red hairpins and bows, a red ribbon choker around my neck, and a little red waist pouch. The nocturnal scene was richly layered with glowing skyscrapers in the background, warm fairy string lights draped overhead, alongside a colossal pink multi-tiered cake and floating balloons. The emotive tone here leaned toward sweet tranquility—gently cradling a cut slice of cake with softened eyes to reveal Ping Hai's tender, endearing grace. Because I wore sheer black stockings with black leather loafers, the nighttime chill was noticeable, so slipping into the plush jacket provided the perfect layer of warmth.

Regarding hair and makeup, warm hues were chosen for the eye makeup, and blush was applied slightly heavier to accentuate the cheeks' youthful sweetness. Styling the wig took substantial upfront work—not only ensuring the twin buns were securely anchored, but also guaranteeing the fibers wouldn't wilt or frizz up amidst the kitchen's steam and vapors. During the night shoot, to capture the fleeting sparks of fireworks and creamy bokeh from ambient city lights, warm fill lights were blended with ambient illumination to yield a luminous, translucent skin texture. The two sets span a wide stylistic gamut: one captures a culinary daily routine with a hint of combat readiness, while the other unfolds into a festive, dreamy nightscape, beautifully documenting Ping Hai's distinct dimensions of charm.
