Today at the Nanjing Airport Anime Convention, I finally brought my Longpaopaos out to the floor! This time, I chose the detective bunny Amiya cosplay look from Arknights, and the pre-event preparation was actually more complex than imagined. In particular, the large rabbit ears on top required rigid internal wire boning to stay perfectly upright, wrapped in a thick plush layer. While the silhouette for this Kemonomimi girl was on point, wearing it all day was definitely a test for my cervical spine, occasionally requiring a steadying hand to keep its center of gravity balanced.

The happiest part of today was the spontaneous encounters with passing Doctors. I deliberately filled my rolling suitcase with those chubby, round Longpaopao plushies, and the sight of them sitting in neat rows inside the black organizer basket drew so many people to stop and take photos. In my original concept, I envisioned a bunny girl hauling a cart loaded with Longpaopaos, and bringing that into reality was deeply satisfying. Many passersby curiously leaned in—some pointed at the Longpaopaos asking if they were those little creatures from the in-game stages, while others immediately recognized me as Amiya from Arknights. Especially with this distinctive detective-style outfit, everyone's feedback was overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

Attending the convention at the Nanjing Airport venue offered a great overall environment—well-lit and spacious, without feeling overly congested. However, maneuvering a cart full of plushies through the crowd did require some skill, constantly watching out to ensure the basket didn't bump into other attendees. Yet whenever I saw people pulling out their phones to take photos or waving at me, coming fully geared with all these items felt entirely worthwhile. In many ways, the joy of Casual cosplay stems from these pure moments of connection—without needing flowery embellishment, it's just about genuinely loving the character and enjoying the immersion in one's passion.

For makeup, to capture Amiya's capable yet subtly sensitive micro-expressions, I specifically chose bright blue contact lenses and emphasized a subtle downward lower-eyelid shape, which, paired with bangs covering most of the forehead, delivered great on-camera ambiance. The base layers of this costume were also chosen to be lightweight; thanks to the powerful air conditioning inside the Nanjing Airport Anime Convention venue, walking around in a long-sleeved shirt for half the day didn't feel uncomfortably warm, which is essential for a smooth convention experience.

While roaming the halls or resting at my spot, I observed the costumes of other creators around me. Cosplay garments and props are truly improving in quality, with everyone striving for higher fidelity in material texture and tailoring details. Through my little creative touch of pulling a cart filled with Longpaopaos, I hoped to bring everyone a fresh, lively, and vibrant impression of Amiya. While pushing the cart, balancing the heavy ears, and keeping facial expressions intact before cameras all day took a physical toll, feeling everyone's love for this Arknights character and this styling made me feel deeply fulfilled. I hope to meet everyone again with this gear at more anime conventions and offline events in the future.
