[Goldenglow cosplay] Vintage Christmas Atmosphere in Warm Winter Light

When shooting this Christmas-themed Arknights Goldenglow cosplay set, the primary consideration was how to prevent the traditional red, green, and white color palette from looking cluttered against the dark red background. The studio featured a brown sofa adorned with vintage English lettering, a white fireplace setup, and a decorated Christmas tree. To highlight the character's traits, I styled pink double braids paired with a blue snowflake-patterned headband and white feathered wings on my back. Costume-wise, the dark green plush coat and white tulle skirt were considerably heavier than anticipated, especially those large plush pom-poms on the hemline. Beneath the tulle skirt, I wore semi-sheer White stockings paired with blue ribbon shoes, aiming to maintain the character's cuteness while adding a playful winter visual proportion.

In terms of props, the red books and golden trumpet brought fantastic tactile texture. The outstretched-arm pose in the first photo simulated a dynamic gesture welcoming the holidays, requiring tension in the composition. The second photo holding the book is quieter, with careful focus given to facial lighting. The third shot chose a seated pose on the sofa with crossed legs—an angle that beautifully displays the layering of the White stockings overlaid with the tulle skirt. The fourth photo is a profile shot holding the trumpet, accentuating the silhouette of the braids and coat. During the shoot, to adjust the drape of the tulle skirt and avoid crushing the plush pom-poms, we had to re-secure them several times.

The warm lighting in the set provided a soft, glowing gradient across facial features and costume edges, forming a stark contrast with the cold outside—giving the overall color palette a warm tone and strong nostalgic feel in Vintage photography. Certain poses during the shoot required physical stamina to maintain, such as keeping the upper body upright while sitting cross-legged. The overall pacing was fairly tight, and through varying props and poses, we captured multiple facets of Goldenglow under this Christmas setting. It was a well-coordinated studio shoot seamlessly harmonizing costume styling, set dressing, and facial expressions.
