[Vivian Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: New Eridu's Blessing Dedicated to a Special Day

April 10th—this special day has Vivian's name imprinted on it. Taking advantage of the Zenless Zone Zero creator incentive program, I decided to edit and release this photoshoot set I'd been saving, using the most direct cosplay approach to celebrate her birthday. When getting into this outfit, I realized this was a character requiring a huge accumulation of care and effort in every detail, so seeing the finished photos, my sense of achievement was directly proportional to my love for her.

First, let's talk about today's core makeup and styling. Purple long curly hair paired with white forehead highlights—this dual-color treatment is the ultimate test of craftsmanship in wig making, needing to keep hair strands silky and flowing without harsh color breaks. The dark blue big bow on top serves as the visual anchor, supporting the head's overall layering. The fit of the Elf ears cosplay accessories is also crucial; paired with clear base makeup, accented with red pupils at the outer corners of the eyes and her signature beauty mark below the left eye, I aimed to bring the expression in the photos as close as possible to my subjective feeling of this Purple-haired elf character.

Looking at costume layering, the upper body features a white stand-collar blouse with ruffles and lantern sleeves at the cuffs, layered with a dark grey suspender vest outside, adorned with several eye-catching metal rivets at the collar. The skirt design on the lower body is quite complex, featuring multi-layered splicing of white, navy blue, and black, making the skirt hem flutter dynamically when walking or posing. Side details like zippers and metal pendants are key to recreating the character's rich texture.

For this shoot, I specifically chose dark blue platform strappy high heels, combined with metal ankle chains and black tights. This added a touch of dark yet elegant atmosphere amidst the predominantly dark-toned outfit. Black tights were also an element I paid special attention to in this Vivian cosplay; they not only shaped the leg contours, but also created a lovely visual extension with the shoe straps. In full-body shots (like the cover photo), the entire body's center of gravity and backward leaning balance could be conveyed through leg poses.

Speaking of action design on shooting day, that pose in the second photo—lifting one leg back, leaning forward slightly, and reaching out a hand—was actually finalized after repeatedly adjusting balance on-site. This angle nicely showcases costume completeness while fully displaying leg tights and shoe ornaments, exuding relaxed ease amid motion. Though slightly out of focus on the face, the third motion blur photo caught the exact moment my skirt hem and hair strands fluttered as I turned—this dynamic capture fits Vivian's mysterious and nimble personality in the work without any stiffness of posed shots.

Since it was shot outdoors, the European classical architecture and red brick arches in the background collided with the character's own artistic style to spark fascinating chemistry. The slightly overcast natural lighting made colors softer without harsh shadows, rendering the purple wig and white highlights even more translucent in the frame. This shoot gave me a deeper understanding of Zenless Zone Zero's art style, which always carries a unique blend of retro and modern charm.

Posting this set brings back many emotions. Every cosplay attempt is a silent dialogue with the character; demanding perfection in details isn't just for pretty social media posts, but to honor the original work's excellent design. Today is Vivian's birthday, and touching this character in reality in my own way is a precious memory in itself. Ultimately, though shooting processes and results matter, what counts most is the joy the character brings.
