The air conditioning at the Genshin Impact booth at BW2026 was blasting at full power, yet wearing such an intricate, layered outfit still left me drenched in sweat. The core priority in recreating this clockwork princess aesthetic lay in the details across the upper torso and waist—especially the gold cut-out corset. To fit my figure cleanly, I reinforced the interior with rigid boning for structural support, ensuring it held its shape without warping whether seated or standing. The sculptural white dimensional bow tie across the chest was secured with dual fastening using Velcro and hidden snap buttons, preventing it from coming loose while navigating the crowded convention floor.

The most painstaking element was actually the detached sleeves on my arms. These separate black arm cuffs were layered with ruffles made of three distinct textiles—white, black, and star-patterned jacquard. Every single ruffle tier required independent ironing and starching; otherwise, slipping them onto my arms would leave them deflated like ordinary fabric tubes without any volume. To align with the classical, opulent atmosphere of the Genshin Impact booth, I specifically chose bright blue contact lenses to convey that inorganic, doll-like crystalline translucence under intense convention lights.

For the wig, trimming the blunt straight bangs and long side-locks took an entire evening. The two long twin tails trailing behind were built with hidden internal hairnets and heavy-duty setting spray, guaranteeing that no stray hairs would frizz out after an entire day of shooting. Sitting on the red leather sofa cradling that gold-rimmed porcelain teacup—which was completely empty, of course—my wrist muscles were engaged in constant isometric tension to maintain an effortlessly poised hold. The white lace garter Stockings were another massive engineering feat; to prevent slippage, I anchored criss-crossing non-slip silicone straps beneath the skirt, because safety and stability come first when constantly squatting, standing, and interacting with attendees on set.

Seeing everyone express so much love for Lady Sandrone in person brought me immense joy. Even though ten days have passed, browsing these hall photos instantly revives the vibrant convention atmosphere of that day. Retouching took quite some time—carving out hours after work each evening was tough—but today I finally polished my favorite angles to perfection.

Speaking on the fabric choices, the exterior skirt was crafted from lustrous pearlescent satin, the middle layer used pleated fabric dotted with golden stars, and the innermost lining was finished in pure white lace. I tuned the length proportions across these three skirt tiers roughly three times to strike that ideal harmony between dramatic puffiness and flattering leg exposure. The red gemstones on the corset were cast in acrylic and finished with gilded edge-paint, refracting beautifully under convention spotlights. Looking at the raw shots, sitting on the deep-red couch made the contrast of black, white, and crimson stand out vividly.

Another crucial challenge was convention lighting; harsh overhead exhibition downlights easily wash out facial flatness. To counter this, I layered precise liquid highlighter into my base foundation and deepened contouring around the eyes, which, alongside the blue lenses, gave my face defined, sculptured dimensions before the camera. Throughout this series, I steered clear of exaggerated gestures, aiming instead to channel a quiet, mechanical poise. The delicate white porcelain teacup with gold filigree felt wonderfully substantial in hand.

The neckline construction was also specialized: to prop up that dramatic black lace choker ruff, I concealed internal structural stays. Moreover, the waistline curve was cinched by internal boned corsetry—it was remarkably tight, and peeling it off after each session required several deep breaths.

Posing nuances were deeply calculated: holding the teacup while wearing white short gloves meant keeping the wrist consciously erect without limp slackness. In seated frames, holding the thighs and calves at a crisp right angle while letting the skirt fall naturally demanded core tension and abdominal engagement. The texture of the White stockings popped remarkably against the red sofa, both brightening skin tone and anchoring the visual weight of the lower body, while crimson-soled leather shoes planted on the booth carpeting balanced the lightness of the billowing skirt.

Cosplaying at the Genshin Impact booth was an extraordinary experience, and heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who stopped by to visit Lady Sandrone. The props and costume details took incredible dedication—every component was individually customized, with numerous elements meticulously cross-referenced against official reference sheets. Every evening after BW wrapped, each delicate accessory had to be unpacked and stored in separate padded compartments to avoid crushing. It was exhausting, but seeing this realization on stage made every drop of effort worthwhile. I hope this collection captures the magic and energy of that convention floor for you all.
