[Furina Cosplay] Standing along the Fontaine Coastline, Feeling the Wind-Swept Deity

Standing on the Fontaine shore, the sea breeze was far fiercer than I had imagined. This photo set was shot right by the ocean, where powerful winds almost blew my wig and headpiece away, leaving my hair scattered in disarray—yet that messiness unexpectedly fit the solitary, poetic mood.

Weather conditions for this outdoor shoot were fantastic with abundant natural light. Noon sunlight beat directly down on the water, glinting off ripples to provide flawless natural illumination for this blue-and-white ensemble. Sunlight shone right through the light gauzy skirt, rendering my entire look ethereal and translucent. The pebble beach underfoot revealed a refined texture in the bright light, while distant breakwaters and coastline silhouettes added distinct compositional depth for this Beach photography piece.

Preparing for this Genshin Impact cosplay work required careful thought, especially when selecting fabrics for the outfit. My attire incorporated abundant translucent tulle; deep blue stitching at the neckline paired with a light blue-and-white gradient along the hem, displaying crisp fabric textures and subtle layering under intense sunlight. However, managing such lightweight fabric outdoors posed a major challenge—especially my long train behind me, which was constantly tossed by the sea wind across the beach. To keep the frame visually full, my assistant repeatedly repositioned the train between takes so it wouldn't tangle. Yet looking at it another way, this uncontrollable natural breeze perfectly enhanced the character's fragile, windswept, yet resilient divine presence.

To capture that windswept disarray along the coast, my hair stylist intentionally avoided stiff, heavy setting spray on the wig, retaining a soft, natural airiness. The golden crescent accessory atop my head almost blew off several times in strong gusts, forcing me to continually adjust its position. Although the wig ended up looking somewhat disheveled in the final shots with hair strands flying freely, this very imperfection imparted genuine authenticity and vibrant life to the entire set.

During shooting, I adjusted various body postures. Standing barefoot on the pebble beach was quite a physical trial; the sharp pebbles underfoot felt intensely real, yet that sensation helped me immerse naturally into the character's seaside environment. The blue ribbon tied around my ankle fluttered continuously in the sea breeze, serving alongside blue ribbons trailing from my long sleeves as dynamic visual lines within the frame. As for makeup, considering the high-light beach setting, I chose a higher saturation lip shade and deepened my eye contour shadows so my facial features remained crisp and three-dimensional even under harsh sunlight.

Distantly anchored ships and faint mountain contours were visible in the background; this vast, open sea expanse offered zero distractions, ideal for showcasing the character's quiet, cool isolation. Standing on this shore, listening to waves washing over the pebbles with a rustling sound, and watching my windswept dress billow in the air, I felt a deep sense of tranquil immersion inside. Despite how demanding the shoot was—staring into fierce sea winds, holding precise poses without letting the wig turn completely wild, and keeping my balance on slick rocks—seeing those windswept traces captured in the finished shots made every bit of effort worth it. This raw outdoor location truly allows a cosplayer to bridge dimensions and connect deeply with the character, making it a precious chapter in my Casual cosplay journey.
