I finally received the Cosplay event photos from this BW event and picked a few to share with everyone. Wearing this Sakura: Red and White Battle Costume was extremely strenuous; the voluminous pink skirt layered over the hoop crinoline underneath took up massive space, requiring constant caution while walking through the expo hall to avoid bumping into passersby's cameras and booths. Because the hoop skirt was quite stiff, sitting down was virtually impossible, so I had to stand the entire time—a major test of endurance. The red hard-soled shoes looked adorable but rubbed my feet raw; I had to endure the pain just to get great photos. The ground reflections during shooting were harsh and the ambient environment was dark, so the photographer brought extensive lighting gear. When taking jumping shots, I jumped in place more than a dozen times to capture that fleeting moment when the skirt flared open fully with a natural expression.

This time, I specifically chose green colored contacts paired with a bright brown wig, emphasizing the eyeliner and aegyo-sal in my eye makeup, hoping to recreate the character's charm. Many details required attention when posing: for example, when standing, tensing the thighs firmly and pointing the toes makes the leg lines look longer and brings out a better texture in the White stockings. The large red bow on the costume serves as the visual focus, helping elevate the overall presence. The waist is cut quite snugly, beautifully accentuating body curves.

Post-processing focused primarily on exposure and contrast, as convention lighting is notoriously chaotic. To prevent the White stockings from blowing out, highlights were lowered while brightening the face, preserving the pink saturation of the dress and the fabric's fold details. For Cosplay event photos, costume detail fidelity and clean makeup are vital; although this outfit was cumbersome, its texture was superb, especially with the skirt flared open wide like an umbrella.

Every trip to an anime expo feels like a battle—rushing around in heavy clothes. Straightening the skirt requires extreme care: the White stockings can't catch snags, and the shoes mustn't get scuffed. Regarding composition, the photographer deliberately used low angles to highlight body proportions, making me look taller. The pink fabric is a rather stiff satin that reflects light beautifully but wrinkles easily, demanding meticulous care when smoothing it out. Holding the wand for extended periods made my hands ache, and with the constriction of the long gloves, swinging it required finding just the right leverage.

The venue was crowded and noisy on the day of the convention; to capture clean frames, we had to utilize high overhead lighting or dodge crowds, testing many angles repeatedly. Wrapping up this set left me completely exhausted—my feet were weak on the way back, and glitter from the skirt had shed all over the floor—yet it felt deeply fulfilling, experiencing both the hardships and joys of shooting this outfit.

If anyone plans to cosplay this set in the future, I recommend preparing your stamina and ankle support in advance. The skirt's weight tests your back and waist, and having someone assist in arranging the hem while shooting is ideal to prevent wrinkles from ruining the look. The cuffs and collar are tricky to put on and take off, but because the tailoring is sharp, it holds an exceptionally crisp shape once worn. I hope these experiences offer some helpful reference for friends wanting to portray this character. This photo set documents my state at that moment; huge thanks to the photographer for their dedication and hard work.
