The preparation for this Halloween styling was actually much more cumbersome than expected. To fully showcase the layering of the skirt hem while preventing the numerous roses and small blue flowers from looking cluttered, I deliberately adjusted the angle of the inner tulle petticoat. The pink fluffy dress you see actually has deliberate flower distribution in both the outer and inner layers. When holding this magic wand featuring star and wing elements, the arm needs to maintain a specific angle to present the best proportion in the mirror reflection. Mirror selfies were chosen for this set of photos because I wanted to give everyone a more authentic daily feel. The plush rug in the room, the white litter box, and that cute little cover on the air conditioner are all the most familiar looks from daily life. To ensure the portrait and props in the mirror were clear, I added a fill light in the front left and only made basic brightness and color adjustments in post-processing, trying my best to preserve the original texture of the tulle dress and white stockings. The posture of sitting on the chair in the second picture was actually to better showcase the stocking details and leg lines, allowing the naturally falling skirt hem to form a nice curve. When standing up in the third picture, the center of gravity needed to be kept slightly backward so that such an exaggerated skirt wouldn't look too crowded. The white stockings have a slight semi-translucent effect under the lighting, which, combined with the strapped flowers and ribbons at the ankles, brings the overall look closer to that vibrant, energetic girl feel. This outfit is indeed visually impactful, and the sweet pink-and-blue color scheme is also very suitable for Halloween, a holiday for dressing up to your heart's content. Wearing such clothes is actually not easy; the stacked layers of tulle and flowers add some weight, coupled with quite a few headpieces, requiring careful adjustment of posture every time. However, seeing the complete styling in the mirror and the moment the magic wand in hand lit up, I felt all the preparation was worth it. Halloween is all about having some bold and imaginative elements, and this flower fairy style is also my understanding of the character. I actually simplified the makeup because the headpiece and costume are already rich enough; heavy facial makeup would instead lose that fresh feeling. For the wig, I chose a trim with a slight airy feel to keep it from looking too rigid in front of the lens. There was a bit of reflection on the mirror during the shoot, so I tried many angles to avoid the creases of the mirror as much as possible. I hope this outfit with a little flower fairy vibe allows everyone to feel the happy atmosphere of Halloween.
