[Chisa Cosplay] Wuthering Waves' Dark Sweetheart: Shining on Stage with a Giant Weapon and Cake

From the moment I got Chisa's character design sheet, I felt the visual elements were incredibly rich. The classic combination of black, white, and red, paired with cat ears and bells, needs to showcase both a sweet maid vibe and a hint of dangerous combat aura. Therefore, for this quick shoot report, I experimented with many different interpretations, striving to present both sides in front of the lens.

Let's talk about the outfit first. This costume is from ClawClawBox (爪爪匣子), and the overall craftsmanship and details are highly impressive. The black bodysuit of the upper body, combined with the white lace on the front and a deep red large bow, beautifully outlines the figure. The skirt features layered ruffles interwoven in black, purple, and red. It not only has excellent drape, but when turning or sitting down, the skirt naturally flares out. Paired with white lace gloves, the gorgeousness of the entire look instantly elevates. The bell cat ears headpiece with white tulle is my favorite part, adding a touch of playfulness and a little demon attribute to the character.

The props present a strong sense of contrast. My left hand holds that highly eye-catching red-and-black giant halberd. It not only has a complex ring structure but also a very long shaft. Although it is a prop, the actual weight is not light. To look like I was effortlessly controlling it with one hand in the photos actually required significant arm strength and muscle control. My other hand holds a small cake and a fork. This combination of a giant weapon and a delicate dessert adds a sense of drama and a wonderful balance to the frames, which can be called a hidden highlight of this shoot.

In terms of posing, I intentionally captured several different states. Standing by the Roman pillar while holding the cake fully displays the entire outfit from the cat ears down to the leather shoes, especially with the white stockings, making the overall lines look clean and sharp. In the sitting poses, I mainly wanted to express a relaxed, lazy feel. Stretching my legs forward beautifully highlights the texture of the white stockings under the light. Combined with the bell ankle straps, it adds a bit more lifelike and interactive feel than a simple standing pose. There is also that pose where I'm sitting down, reaching out to make a 'shh' gesture, which was inspired by wanting to capture a quiet girlishness. Paired with the white tulle by my side, the atmosphere is perfectly spot-on.

The studio setting for this shoot also fit the character's tone perfectly. The white Greek-style Roman pillars and intricate carvings, along with the retro black candlesticks, achieved a sharp contrast between light and shadow. The photographer utilized the massive white tulle in front of the window and a full-length mirror to create a relatively quiet and dreamy indoor space. The lighting was kept soft, mainly relying on the studio's soft light to bring out the transparency of the white stockings and the details of the costume, avoiding harsh shadows from the heavy weapon. This made the overall image texture much softer.

Actually, during the shoot, because the halberd prop is massive, adjusting how to interact with the costume naturally without blocking my face was a constant challenge during composition. Fortunately, with the help of my friends who helped arrange the skirt hem and smooth out the folds on the white stockings, and after changing positions a few times, the final result turned out quite satisfying. It successfully captured Chisa's trait of being both cute and dangerous in Wuthering Waves. That's all for this quick report, and I will fine-tune the light and shadow layers in post-production later.
