[Amiya cosplay] Arknights: Little detective Bunny on the Move

When shooting the finished cosplay photos of this Arknights Amiya JR crossover outfit, I mainly focused on how to integrate those complex garment details with the overall atmosphere. What attracted me most about this outfit was the blue coat, the faux two-piece shirt collar design, and the distressed layered leather belts and metal chains around the waist. To bring my demeanor closer to the character, I specifically paired it with blue contact lenses and long brown Bunny ears. The location was set around a white carved bench with a red rose backdrop wall, which perfectly complemented the cool tones of the outfit. For props, I prepared a transparent umbrella. The umbrella surface refracted sunlight into rainbow-like colors; holding it overhead and adjusting its angle softened the light beautifully. Since the coat takes up a large visual area, adjusting the seated posture was especially critical. To prevent the thigh area from looking bulky, I carefully arranged the blue plaid shorts and the positioning of the leg garters. The bench framing was well-centered, which, combined with the perspective of the shooting angle, easily accentuated long legs and boots.

The lighting was wonderful that day. Although wearing such heavy layers was a bit warm, it was entirely worth it for great photos. The fabric has a crisp structure, offering a flattering silhouette on body shape. Right-hand gestures, wearing rings on the fingers, and straightening the white inner shirt at the collar and cuffs—all these details directly affect the final photo quality. For the second pose, I originally wanted a more interactive expression, but I burst into laughter several times during candid snaps; nevertheless, that playful vibe turned out really great. This outfit is heavier to wear than it looks, especially the belt and coat parts. Because the outer layer is a somewhat stiff nylon or cotton material, it isn't easy to fold away when taken off, so during mid-shoot breaks I usually just draped it over my arm.

Regarding the set, the floor beneath the rose wall featured gray-and-white checkered tiles, giving the photos a clean, premium feel without needing post-processing to clean up floor blemishes. Under direct sunlight, the transparent umbrella not only shielded from harsh light but also acted like a diffuser cone, making the skin tone on the face and upper body look remarkably translucent and natural compared to a simple reflector. I love using props to create light and shadow effects; this is also something I actively study as a cosplayer during shoots. Regarding footwear, the black platform lace-up boots elongated my overall proportions significantly, but they also increased the fatigue of walking, making my feet ache after standing for long periods. Still, I tried my best to maintain an upright posture, as details determine the completeness of character presentation.

This bench served as a great foreground prop, giving the composition a clear sense of visual hierarchy. In upcoming shoots, I will experiment with more natural light angles to explore the possibilities of this outfit. In post-processing, I leaned toward preserving the high-saturation ambient colors, making the background roses more vivid to form a sharp visual contrast with the blue costume. This contrast greatly elevates the photographic texture of the finished cosplay set. This shoot also taught me plenty of posing techniques for seated positions. Sometimes seemingly simple props and backdrops yield amazing results. Soft light filtered through the umbrella, vibrant roses, and this blue-and-white outfit harmonized wonderfully. Communicating actively with the photographer about lighting and angles was essential—I usually checked the camera monitor after each shot to make adjustments. This outfit carries the agile charm of a Little detective and bunny, resulting in a very high rate of great shots.
