[Cosplay] Shooting More Cosplay While I Have Time This Year: Looking for a Compatible Photographer in Chongqing

Want to shoot more cosplay photosets I'm happy with while I still have free time this year. Next year I probably won't have time to bother with all this, so I want to pack my shooting schedule tight this year, maybe even aiming for off-peak weekday shoots to see if I can connect with the right photographer.

Here's a brief breakdown of my situation. Currently, I focus mainly on cosplay and Lolita-style studio shoots. I can handle most of my own hair and makeup, only calling on hair/makeup artists when things get super complex. Because I watch a lot of classic retro anime, my shooting style leans towards atmospheric, vintage, or subtle, emotionally rich tones. For games, I mainly play Genshin Impact, Arknights, and Honor of Kings—if fellow fans want to shoot related themes, we can definitely brainstorm together!

As for the photographer I'm looking for, I hope to meet an experienced female photographer with her own aesthetic vision. Being with a female photographer makes me feel much more comfortable when guiding poses and emotional expression. Non-beginners are a baseline requirement, ideally with a solid portfolio so our aesthetic alignment is high. Regarding expenses, I prefer splitting studio fees (AA) so there's no heavy financial pressure on either side, allowing us to focus purely on the work itself. Plus, I genuinely enjoy co-writing shoot planners with photographers, gradually bringing creative ideas to life on screen—this co-creation process is immensely fulfilling.

The photos attached serve as a general showcase of my preferred styles. The set with the umbrella and violin uses an overhead shot and reflections on the transparent umbrella surface to create a cool, solitary vibe. The clean white background with wing accessories maximizes the translucent feel of high-key Anime-style photography. The cat-eared maid paired with a spear brings out a contrasting charm, while the sword-wielding sailor uniform displays motion and power. My personal favorite is the last studio shoot with New Chinese elements—wooden screens, plush carpets, and warm yellow lighting craft an exquisite look without feeling overly cold, hitting the sweet spot for color palette and ambiance.

All in all, my goal this year is to accumulate a collection of sets I love while making more ACG photography friends locally in Chongqing.
