[Sunna cosplay] Angels of Delusion in Zenless Zone Zero, a fateful record of sunshine after rain

The weather during this shoot was truly dramatic. Just as we set up equipment and props on the rooftop, a sudden shower poured from the sky. Fortunately, before pressing the shutter a few times, sunlight broke through the heavy cloud layer. Persisting through shooting from rainy weather to clear skies—this experience happened to echo the Angels of Delusion MV I studied repeatedly during prep. That sense of transition from dreary rain to bright sunlight, playing out right by the iron railings of the rooftop platform, instantly filled my heart with a wonderful sense of fate. I must say, this experience made the shoot feel extraordinarily meaningful.

The character featured this time is Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero. Although limited location conditions meant absolute 100% precision wasn't possible, I worked within my capabilities to get as close to the original setting as possible. The mint green wig was given a fluffy treatment while preserving bang details, paired with custom hairpin accessories I prepared, ensuring an overall refreshed and dynamic vitality. For makeup, light contact lenses combined with broad, drunk-blush under the eyes made the gaze look clearer and innocent, while keeping color density high enough in raw photos so bright light wouldn't wash it out.

There are many outfit elements I am particularly proud of this time. The white shirt's collar features a heart print design paired with a red tie, concentrating visual focus. The bottom is her iconic black miniskirt, but what really made the styling pop were the pink-and-white striped arm sleeves and matching striped thigh-high socks. The thick knit texture of the arm sleeves felt great, especially when I fastened the black leather straps at the thighs and put on the white platform shoes—the overall silhouette became instantly 3D. I personally love the candid shot on the pink swing in photo 4; the posture with naturally extended legs paired with the extension of striped socks, plus color resonance from the swing frame, created rich visual language. Also, the white water gun prop and pink backpack were eye-catching highlights in this rain-cleared location, despite frequent weather shifts.

The shooting process was inevitably a bit hectic. Rooftop puddles reflected ripples on floor tiles, and the first few photos were rushed in wet surroundings. Whenever gusts blew, the wig got messy, but the photographer's quick captures were amazing, keeping the rhythm steady through these minor episodes. When sunshine finally pierced through clouds onto me, both the photographer and I got super excited, swiftly capturing close-ups and full-body interactions in those best few minutes of lighting. This photo set recorded everything purely, relying not on complex lighting setups but on the clean, cool-toned ambient light after rain, boosting contrast between pale green hair and pink props to the fullest.

After the shoot, I rewatched the raw photos repeatedly, almost smelling that post-rain air through the screen. This immersive shoot reconfirmed my love for this character. Though I know everyone's aesthetic standards differ and there might be slight OOC impressions, I did my best to capture Sunna's dynamic energy, hoping this set conveys the pure, happy state I felt. Turning my own visions into real photo records brings immense achievement. This outdoor shoot felt incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to challenging more styling types in the future.
