[Anaxagoras cosplay] Dining Out with My Student and the Crown Prince: Spontaneous Photoshoot Day

Going out to eat with my student and the Crown Prince, just indulging in food non-stop... Now I finally have a moment to sit down and share an update. This afternoon's schedule was quite tight: first rushing through makeup and wig styling, then heading out to meet up with our two VIP friends, Mydei and Phainon, for a group meal. Yet wearing this Anaxagoras outfit during dinner unexpectedly brought out a delightfully lived-in, everyday charm.

Let's talk about today's getup first. Anaxagoras's signature Eyepatch styling is actually quite challenging to pull off. When doing the makeup, to complement this single-eye look, the other eye had to be lined with deep, clean precision, and the area around the eyepatch edge needed careful blending to prevent an awkward, abrupt disconnection once worn. For the wig, the silver-gray tousled layers with a cyan-blue gradient at the tips offered rich texture. However, the bangs were rather long; while eating, I constantly worried about sauce stains, so I had to eat gingerly with a fork, which felt hilariously undignified.

We picked a Southeast Asian restaurant featuring stained plaid glass windows. The lighting was great, with warm lamps playing across the face and reflecting off the colored glass, creating a wonderfully relaxed, cozy mood. Standing alongside the other two, even in selfies (as shown in Photo 2), the stark contrast in our three character styles was readily apparent. The Crown Prince and Phainon wore battle-ready combat gear packed with armor and metallic ornaments that looked very powerful, making my black overcoat and ruffled white shirt look almost overly scholarly and refined by comparison. The ruffles on the white shirt looked gorgeous, though smoothing out wrinkles beforehand took serious effort; while waiting for our food, we helped each other adjust the shoulder tailoring.

Speaking of the meal, it was genuinely a feast. We ordered green papaya salad—the sweet, sour, and spicy flavor instantly cut through the heaviness of the makeup—along with Thai grilled pork neck dipped in special sweet-chili sauce, which was wonderfully tender. Paired with golden, crispy prawn crackers, everyone completely shed their idol baggage at the table. While cosplaying means upholding a character's composure, for a true foodie, good cuisine cannot be denied; after finishing the photo shoot, we enthusiastically dug in (see the full table spread in Photo 4). Sipping the brown iced tea with ice cubes instantly washed away the stuffy heat of wearing a wig for hours.

Actually, what I'm most satisfied with today is the candid shot by the dining table in Photo 3. The black coat is worn open, revealing a corner of the pleated white shirt underneath, while the irregular metallic waist chains neatly accentuate the waistline. Settling into a relaxed seated pose, the shadows of the Black tights outfit blended with the trousers, bringing out a casual yet dashing vibe under the indoor ambient lights. Anaxagoras inherently possesses an enigmatic, unfathomable presence, and this laid-back seated posture felt far more alive than stiff, posed standing shots.

Blending cosplay with daily life has always been the most comfortable creative state for me. Bringing a character into an authentic everyday scene like this Restaurant exterior and interior dining setting—rather than strictly confining it to studios or conventions—unlocked a whole new stylistic aesthetic for the outfit. Concluding today's dining shoot with a glass of iced tea under gentle weather without harsh glare or wig mishaps made it a thoroughly smooth and satisfying day for Honkai: Star Rail cosplay.
