This time, I am presenting a cosplay of Castorice from Honkai: Star Rail. To restore the character's unique temperament, we put a lot of effort into the makeup and styling. The dark vines and three-dimensional flowers on the headwear were all manually spliced and fixed piece by piece, and the angle of the elf ears was adjusted repeatedly for a long time, striving to present the most natural contour. The eye makeup deliberately used purplish-red blending, which, combined with the silvery-white wig and complex braided hair structure, captures the light exceptionally well in front of the lens, displaying a mysterious and noble non-human feel.

In terms of costume, the white-and-purple dress adopts a complex spliced design, with waist cutouts and irregular translucent tulle on the skirt hem increasing the overall layering. To keep the white dress from looking monotonous under complex lighting, the fabric choice leaned towards materials with a subtle satin sheen. The three-dimensional vine decorations on the arms and the irregular stockings are the finishing touches; the strap design of the stockings fits the leg lines exceptionally well when walking, and at the same time, we made plenty of preparations regarding anti-slip and comfort to capture various stretching poses.

The most challenging prop was the huge scythe. Although it underwent a certain degree of lightweight processing for shooting effects, swinging it still required good control over core strength to maintain posture stability. To match the dialogue mood of embracing new birth, huge dragon-shaped props and a full ground of flower seas were set up on site. The scale texture of that giant pterosaur was extremely realistic, and combined with the character's positioning, it formed an atmosphere intertwining a strong sense of oppression and protection. The light filtering through the purple-toned stained glass window hit the white skirt hem, with an outstanding texture that also left a solid light-and-shadow foundation for post-processing.

Throughout the shooting process, interacting with the glowing butterflies was the most energy-consuming part. To capture the most vivid instant, it required repeatedly adjusting the angle of the extended finger and the focus of the gaze, while the body also needed to lean slightly to let the skirt hem present a nice arc. For the looking-back pose in the second photo, to showcase the back lines and the flowing feel of the long hair, the speed of turning the head was tested many times. The combination of dark Gothic style and aesthetic flower sea made this shoot full of a wonderful sense of collision. Every press of the shutter is a deep dialogue with the character in light and shadow, and I hope the final presented image can convey that unique vitality.
